THREAD: February 1 marks the first day of Black History Month. To celebrate this month, PCDI will highlight famous African Americans who have lived with a disability. Today, we will be featuring Dr. Maya Angelou.
On April 18, 2009, Dr. Angelou visited Slippery Rock University and read some of her poems. She even gifted a poem to the university. Dr. Angelou believed that "we are more alike than unalike."
