@Tycerrr_@xMetalCap I do agree that they could have utilized alternate tricking paths more, as a lot of the tracks don’t have much or are useless, but there are still a bunch scattered throughout the game (salty salty speedway, shy guy bazaar, wario stadium, and sky high sundae come to mind)
@Tycerrr_@xMetalCap Instead of the sign trick (I think it’s mainly intended as a feather shortcut tbh), would you not consider the upper chain route proper tricking level design? It’s faster and generally safer than the normal route, involves both rail riding and wall riding, and has a clear path
@Tycerrr_@xMetalCap I’d agree because it’s easier to discover on your own and they made a clear path to follow along up there, but to be fair they did program that sign to bounce you and your’re not counted out of bounds when going over that lava gap, especially with how strict lakitu can be in mkw
@Tycerrr_@xMetalCap There’s actually a more “intentional” route at the very beginning of bowsers castle! If you ride the chains up the side of the track at the very beginning, you go on an alternate upper path above the sign room, which involves rail tricking followed up by wall riding.
@JPGiviner@JDash508 Extremely proud and inspired by your journey! This past year for me has been extremely difficult as well, in many ways similar to your struggles. Really glad to see you pushing forward and coming out of it all with a positive mindset!
@NotHomerr@vappgaming23@SrirachaSSB Probably accidentally dense lol, but I do I think retention time is a metric to at least consider. In a general sense, getting a feel for the controls/gameplay is something to overcome, and people will tend to stop and go back to their usual setups if they don’t overcome that
@NotHomerr@vappgaming23@SrirachaSSB Of course! Same with disabling L cancel, but those aren’t the default settings. I’m mainly just referring to the general game, and yeah having those as settings was always sick!
It’s understandable that people would want to play their mains, but yeah they’re fucked for 6 lmao
@NotHomerr@vappgaming23@SrirachaSSB Not to say that there isn’t things in HDR that makes it difficult for new players to get into as well, but just from my experience, new people seem more open to longer sessions with HDR
@NotHomerr@vappgaming23@SrirachaSSB I think they mean “easier access” as in easier for a new player to pick up and play, not about accessing the game. When playing P+ with new players, I often see them put off by the lower buffer and not having their smash 4/ult characters.
