आज विशाखापट्टनम स्थित Brandix India Apparel City का दौरा किया। 1,000 एकड़ में विकसित यह एकीकृत परिधान विनिर्माण एवं आपूर्ति श्रृंखला केंद्र भारत के वस्त्र क्षेत्र के वैश्विक सामर्थ्य का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण है।

यहाँ कार्यरत हजारों महिला कर्मियों, आधुनिक विनिर्माण इकाइयों तथा विदेशी निर्यात के लिए अनुकूल उत्पादन व्यवस्थाओं का अवलोकन किया। ऐसे औद्योगिक क्लस्टर, रोजगार सृजन, महिला सशक्तिकरण और ‘मेक इन इंडिया’ को नई गति प्रदान कर रहे हैं।

#WATCH | Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh: On his visit to Brandix apparel company at SEZ Atchutapuram, Union Minister Piyush Goyal says, "I am truly delighted to visit Brandix SEZ (Special Economic Zone) and the AMTZ (Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone) where medical devices are produced... The textile park has 20,000 women... The medical devices park also produces Rs 16,000 Crores worth of medical devices... I have invited all SEZ commissioners from across India. They will hold a meeting in Visakhapatnam and visit Brandix Park and AMTZ Park... We are also examining what further relief we can provide to the SEZs to increase production there..."

ప్రముఖ దుస్తుల తయారీ సంస్థ బ్రాండిక్స్ ఇండియా డైరెక్టర్, భారతీయ భాగస్వామి పి.సి దొరస్వామి గారు సచివాలయంలో మర్యాదపూర్వకంగా కలిశారు. ట్రంప్ అదనపు టారిఫ్ ల నేపథ్యంలో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా దుస్తుల తయారీ రంగం ఎదుర్కొంటోన్న ఇబ్బందులను వివరించారు. రాష్ట్రానికి తలమానికంగా ఉన్న అతి పెద్ద వస్త్ర తయారీ పరిశ్రమ బ్రాండిక్స్ ఇండియా సంస్థను ఈ టారిఫ్‌లు తీవ్రంగా దెబ్బతీశాయని, ప్రభుత్వం తరఫున సహకారం కావాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. సంస్థను ఆదుకునేందుకు అవసరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని, పరిస్థితిని కేంద్ర ఆర్థిక శాఖ మంత్రి నిర్మలా సీతారామన్‌ గారితో చర్చించి ఉపశమన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని ఈ సందర్భంగా హామీ ఇచ్చాను.
