Yesterday @The_TUC , MPs, PCS ARMs members and PCS general secretary @FranHeathcote, spoke to camera following the Capita #pensions rally outside parliament.
The message is clear - solve this crisis, stop awarding contracts to Capita and bring pensions administration back in house.
Watch PCS Parliamentary Group Chair John McDonnell highlight in parliament the "near chaos" since the payment of civil service pensions was outsourced and call for the government to commit to returning the administration of civil service pensions to public control
When you’ve worked for the public all your life and are then abandoned in retirement, ill health or even when you want to reduce your hours and claim partial benefits from your pension. It’s a National Scandal. Capita shouldn’t get away with this… #PCS@Sotlive@BBCRadioStoke

Today - 30 June - was the day that Capita was given by ministers to deliver the full terms of its £239 million contract to administer the Civil Service Pension Scheme.
As expected, Capita has failed to meet that deadline and we await the government's announcement on what the consequences of this failure will be.
Don’t believe a word. Voluntary Redundancies will have been scoped as part of this decision by DWP, as will movement towards AI based services. Communities where these offices once stood will face even more economic hardship. cost cutting does not make efficiency in delivery #PCS
Goverment threatens to punish Capita if latest civil service pensions deadline is missed - parliamentary secretary in the Cabinet Office Satvir Kaur told MPs during Cabinet Office questions on the crisis that if Capita fails to deliver for scheme members by the end of June "all options will be considered." #EndCapitaChaos #BringItInHouse
Former DWP #PCS members in #Stoke know this scenario well. ARMS North Staffordshire send solidarity to all those facing an uncertain future after these announcements. DWP needs more staff not less. AI advancement and Hub strategy cannot replace jobs in communities across the UK.
DWP has announced today Service and Support Centre (SSC) closures in Motherwell, Glasgow, Derby, Hyde, Halifax, Torquay, Liverpool, Sunderland and Blackpool impacting thousands of staff. Read the story to find out more >>> https://t.co/OkUAOBJMTr
Government publish regulations on electronic and workplace balloting.
Regulations, accompanied by a code of practice, were laid before Parliament on Monday (22nd June) and will come into force in August. More details here: https://t.co/6lTtrHlqyV
Members of the Civil Service Pension Scheme are experiencing further delays due to an enhanced identity check.
At the same time, Capita approaches the end of June deadline imposed by the paymaster general. The requirement is that Capita should be delivering the full terms of its contract by 30 June, in 5 days' time.

You voted against scrapping zero hour contracts.
You voted against banning fire and rehire.
You voted against day one sick pay for workers.
You said the minimum wage was too high for young people.
Reform politicians openly say they don't like trade unions.
You will always put the interests of your offshore crypto billionaire donors ahead of workers.
FOR MILLIONS OF PEOPLE NHS DENTISTRY HAS SIMPLY CEASED TO EXIST
On Monday 15 June a debate will take place in the House of Commons on the shocking state of NHS Dentistry.
Nearly 14 million adults are now unable to access NHS dentistry in England - FOURTEEN MILLION! Just think about that.
People in agony are pulling out their own teeth - this isn’t just Victorian, IT’S MEDIEVAL.
We cannot allow this shocking and shameful situation to continue.
CONTACT YOUR MP NOW using this handy link provided by @TheBDA and ask them to attend this important debate. Tell them to demand that ministers provide a plan to save NHS dentistry and offer the resources to back it up!
THIS IS NOW MAKE OR BREAK FOR NHS DENTISTRY - if urgent action is not taken by the government NHS Dentistry risks becoming little more than an emergency service.
New research suggests a 4-day (32 hour) work week with no loss of pay would improve health, wellbeing and long-term employment sustainability for disabled workers. @4Day_Week@DisRightsUK

‘On 29 January 2026, 1950s-born women were told by the new Secretary of State, Pat McFadden, that hardly any of us have suffered injustice despite years of DWP delay in sending us letters to tell us about changes in our state pension ages and that none of us will be compensated despite the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) forcefully proposing that should happen after its longest-running investigation.’
We refuse to accept that the government should get away with ignoring its own watchdog in this way. If they can do it to #WASPI women it opens the floodgates to do it to anyone that suffers an injustice.

Greedy privatised water companies treat our rivers and seas like an open sewer.
And they've ripped off the public with higher bills while handing nearly £90 BILLION to shareholders since privatisation.
In Parliament, I called for water to be brought back into public ownership.
"Capita took over the civil servant pension scheme 6 months ago..."
Why are parasitical private companies like Capita allowed anywhere near the public sector? We need to kick out the profiteers & end all outsourcing.
For decades, water firms have prioritised shareholder returns over consumers, the environment and infrastructure investment.
Bringing water back into public ownership would bring bills down, ensure investment and pay for itself in around 7 years.
Angela MacDonald, who leads the Pension Scheme Recovery operation, has issued an update which contained a specific apology for the failure by Capita to prioritise escalated cases. These cases included those involving bereavement and those dating back to before Capita took over from MyCSP. https://t.co/6vYLWk7wnM
Our @pcs_union members in Northern Ireland working for @SodexoUK_IRE in @HMRCgovuk will be taking industrial action from 4-17 June.
