Happy Birthday to the little boy who became this man, but never went away.

Following the defection of 27 Rivers lawmakers to the APC, the PDP acting chairman has formally requested INEC to conduct a bye-election to fill the vacant seats as stipulated in Section 109 (1)(g) of the constitution.
Those who don’t know the history of this building are cosplaying as “party owners and managers” and trading PDP for crumbs on the altar of APC.
We shall soon tell them the story of the man who bought it and handed it over to the then newly formed party, ever before he became VP.
Happy Birthday to His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar! @atiku
Wishing you good health, strength, and the continued drive for progressive leadership.
Here’s to many more impactful years ahead!

Press Statement
@OfficialPDPNig Celebrates Atiku Abubakar @atiku on Birthday
…Says He’s a Selfless Leader Committed to the Good of Nigerians
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) celebrates former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and PDP Presidential Candidate in the 2023 Presidential election, one of the founding fathers of our great Party, H.E. Atiku Abubakar, GCON (Wazirin Adamawa), as he marks his birthday today.
Atiku Abubakar is a selfless, compassionate, humble and people-oriented leader; a unifier, forthright politician, democrat and global Statesman who continues to dedicate his intellect, energy, resources and abilities towards the unity, stability and economic development of our dear nation.
The PDP and Nigerians across board continue to recognize Atiku Abubakar’s record of performance in the service to our nation, particularly as the Chairman of the National Economic Council under the Obasanjo/Atiku-led PDP administration between 1999 and 2007, during which our nation achieved massive and unparalleled national productivity in all sectors to become one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
His outstanding leadership qualities led to the overwhelming support and massive votes from Nigerians across all walks of life for him and our Party in the 2019 and 2023 Presidential elections, which mandate was unfortunately subverted by undemocratic forces, resulting in the current sorry state of affairs in our nation.
Our Party extols Atiku Abubakar for his resilience as the people’s leader as demonstrated in his unrelenting passion and quest for good governance, economic prosperity, accountability, equity, justice, fairness and strict adherence to the demands of the Rule of Law and democratic tenets in the overall interest of the wellbeing of all Nigerians.
On this auspicious occasion, the PDP family prays to the Almighty Allah to grant Atiku Abubakar more wisdom, sound health and strength in the service of our dear fatherland and humanity.
Congratulations and Happy Birthday, Your Excellency.
Signed:
Hon. Debo Ologunagba

*EDO FORENSIC SAGA:* INEC'S OWN DOCUMENTS GROUND THEIR COMPLICITY
It is perhaps no longer news that as a fallout of the highly contentious Edo State Governorship Election which held on Saturday the 21st of September 2024, the duo of Senator Monday Okpebholo and Hon. Dennis Idahosa have been sworn in as Governor and Deputy Governor of Edo State respectively.
However, there are indications that the new occupants of the Osadebe Avenue Government House may not sleep with two eyes closed as the controversies and uncertainties surrounding their controversial victory are set to take another dimension at the Election Petition Tribunal when it resumes its sitting at the end of November. The PDP Candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo has already filed his petition at the tribunal while the respondents Governor Monday Okpebholo, APC and INEC have also filed their reply respectively.
Whereas the proper legal fireworks at the Tribunal are yet to commence, there are fresh facts and evidence emerging from a forensic report by a civil society Organisation, TAP Initiative which show massive Electoral fraud and outright Falsification of results by INEC Officials in favour of the APC.
The TAP forensic report which was conducted by renowned forensic experts and specialists from South Africa has significant evidence of collusion of INEC Officials from forensic evaluation of the handwriting in many of the results which clearly show that they were written by the same individual.
Similarly, several of the form EC8A result sheets released by the Commission as Certified True Copies (CTC) of results of the Edo State Governorship Election and tendered before the Tribunal are at variance with results downloaded and printed from INEC's own IREV portal.
The implication of the inherent contradictions in INEC's documents and the discrepancies will most likely render the documents liable to be invalidated by the Court when subjected to legal scrutiny.
It will also be recalled that Yiaga Africa, which deployed the Process and Results Verification for Transparency (PRVT) methodology for the elections equally faulted the conduct of the poll and disruption of collation in some LGAs, describing the results declared by INEC as lacking credibility.
Nigerian electoral jurisprudence is replete with a plethora of decided cases where elections were upturned on account of unassailable forensic evidence of falsification of results which are at variance with original results declared at the various Poling Units(PUs).
In 2008, the Court admitted forensic evidence to nullify unlawful votes cast across 10 LGAs in Osun Guber Election namely, Boripe, Atakumosa, Ayedaade, Boluwaduro, Ife Central, Ife East, Ife South, Ifedayo, Isokan, Odo Otin, local government Areas in Osun State.
In a unanimous Judgement delivered by Justice Clara Ogunbiyi in the petition brought by Rauf Aregbesola of ACN(now APC) against the declaration of Olagunsoye Oyinlola of PDP as Governor of Osun State, the Appellate Court held that forensic evidence shows proof that INEC recorded unlawful votes in favour of Oyinlola. The Court proceeded to nullify the affected unlawful votes and Aregbesola was consequently declared the winner of the election in line with section 197 of the constitution and 147 Electoral Act. (See Aregbesola vs Oyinlola & 1,336 Ors (2008) 2 LRECN 1 CA)
Similarly, on October 15th 2010, the Court of Appeal affirmed the same legal principles on forensic evidence to upturn INEC's declaration of Segun Oni of PDP as Governor of Ekiti State in favour of Kayode Fayemi of ACN (now APC). Fayemi had challenged the return of former Governor Oni in the 2009 re-run election in the 63 of 177 wards in Ekiti State with forensic proof of the forgery that PDP and INEC indulged in the election.
Today, as always, I join millions around the globe to celebrate an incredibly compassionate Leader, H.E. @Atiku Abubakar GCON, on the occasion of his birthday celebration
You have been an exceptional leader whose dedication to excellence inspires many of us to achieve greatness

Hearty Birthday wishes to the most enduring Politician of the Fourth Republic...
Loved by Many,
Hated by Few,
Feared by Some but...
Respected by ALL.
My steadfast prayer for Your Excellency is for continued Good Health and a Sound Mind.
Happy Birthday, Waziri Atiku Abubakar.
I read in utter dismay, maybe disgust, a statement by the Alex Otti Labour Party-led Government of Abia State where it was said that the terrorist group, IPOB, is not responsible for the many attacks on security formations in the state, the senseless loss of lives, and destruction of property. They have now alleged that opposition politicians were behind all of that (read party).
For me, as always, it is disheartening when issues of security are being heavily politicized. To what end? Perhaps, politicians may be beneficiaries of crises and insecurity. IPOB, as presently constituted, is a terrorist organization!
The silliness in that statement stinks. Anyways, by taking this stance, is it that Alex Otti didn't know he was absolving, and possibly emboldening terrorists to carry out more dastardly acts on society even when the leader of the terrorist group has publicly taken responsibility for these killings and destructions? Does Alex Otti not understand by that unguarded statement he is directly indicting his government of being inutile? How do you claim you know those killing your people (politicians, as alleged) and not a single arrest has been made to that effect? Complicity? Incompetence?
Instructively, citizens must always never forget that politicians will always play politics. It is, therefore, incumbent on citizens to also be decisively intentional about prioritizing their demands from the Government for the security of lives and property. It is a constitutional right. Politicians can “disappear” in the twinkle of an eye when the chips are down. What will then be the fate of you and I?
Do not join them in amplifying the destructive politicization of security. You're a victim.
Boko Haram Terrorists Attack Nigerian Army Base In Borno, Kill Several Soldiers, Destroy Gun Truck, Others
A few weeks ago, T Pain’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu proclaimed "Boko Haram, which has been ravaging our country, is now on the run."
Yet, the killings continue!
While the NSA continued to scream T gains, whatever that meant, Terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, petty thieves, and all continued to have a field day. The NSA must remember that playing silly politics with the issue of insecurity is more dangerous and deadly than insecurity in itself. To date, Soldiers' welfare is still poor, and lamentations of non-payment of allowances due to them, and lack of motivation too. Our young gallant warriors continue to sacrifice their lives for us in the face of poor pay, bad or lack of weaponry, you name it.
NSA should wake up. Have we not lost enough already? What part of this Country is truly safe? Not even Abuja. The politicization of security must stop forthwith. Insurgency must be dealt with and nipped permanently in the bud. The government must also realise that the Economy is also a strong tool in fighting insecurity.
Dr. Mahdi Shehu's Facebook page, Rescue Nigeria Urgently. Shehu wrote: "I called Ribadu's submission delusional, and my daughter called it comical. My grand son called living in denial, and my neighbor called it neurotic. My distant cousin considered it psychotic. My son, who is a medical student with a keen interest in mental health challenges, said it is a border line of madness. WHAT will Katsina, sokoto, zamfara, kebbi, Niger call it."
Regarding the recent issues in the PDP, everyone needs to understand the position of the party's constitution. It is available for anyone to read and pick a cue from. Enough of reading gibberish from people paid to do so.
According to the PDP constitution, Chapter 6, Section 45, Sub-sections 1 - 4 comprehensively details the procedure for addressing vacancies within the party. For instance, in any event that the national chairman's position becomes vacant, the constitution stipulates that the replacement must be appointed from the same region, in this case, the North Central. This isn't obfuscation!
We must never lose sight of the fact that the PDP's constitution is a vital framework that helps guide and inform party members on how to address various situations. Hence, it is incumbent on all members to engage constructively and adhere to these provisions in a bid to maintain the integrity of the party.
The PDP constitution grants the National Executive Committee (NEC) the authority to appoint a suitable replacement from the same zone to fill the vacant position. Additionally, Section 48 also prohibits anyone from holding dual positions at a time in the party. Therefore, it would be inappropriate for Damagum to occupy both the roles of acting chairman and National vice chairman simultaneously. It is only the right thing to be done.
PDP, as presently constituted, needs urgent reform and repositioning. PDP must rise as a formidable and credible alternative to endear itself to Nigerians once more! Nigerians are waiting and watching how the party navigates this trying time.
