My friend who works in this medium is one of the most detail-oriented people I've ever met and staggeringly methodical. He keeps his own pace/tempo in all situations, seriously like he's perceiving time from a slightly different angle than the rest of us. It's fascinating.
@ADXPortland We should take a fresh stab at that steampunk fair/weekend, just not directly on the heels of GEAR Con. Figures in the local & regional steampunk communities frequently encourage me to add a maker/skills-focused event to the calendar.
@5thavecinema Tough question! I can answer with 3 that come to mind as noteworthy in the moment: Herzog's Nosferatu, Fessenden's Habit, and for hoary gothic shlock greatness, the whole Subspecies/Bloodstone series.
@prof_elemental I know how you feel. I've mostly been an absentee the last couple years, but there's still something magical about our being able to give each other a quick shout from around the planet like this.
