Right, time for a bit of a rebrand.
Oh god, did I just use the word 'rebrand'?
Bloody hell. Yes, I am a faceless corporation. I have a brand.
I've changed my name a bit cos I've got a new music project. Here's a song: https://t.co/NZs2tamk8F
@cantalpii @anon_opin That's really interesting. Do you like Blackstar but not Outside?
Not trying to start a fight or anything, I just like both and think they kinda go together.
@mech_virus @anon_opin I would in no way want to denigrate Scary Monsters, but honestly have a listen to Outside and everything after. It's not all good but I would be very surprised if you didn't change your mind.
@anon_opin Yeah, Outside is a masterpiece, my favourite of the 4 albums he did with Eno. Earthling and Heathen are fantastic, the final two albums are wonderful.
@TFATD@ionactive I loved Jam/Blue Jam. I found the original radio show on Spotify the other day. Hilarious and a really good soundtrack.

This is not a protest, it is a pogrom. The Gov's toxic narrative on small boats has created the conditions where this could happen. The discourse on migration has been nothing short of Stochastic Terrorism. Protecting those under attack has to be Govs only priority right now.
@ionactive@mattstevensloop Actually, that did happen to me. I put Yes next to King Crimson and it all went up in smoke.
Weirdly adding Pink Floyd didn't make any difference. Make of that what you will
@MothTwiceborn To be fair, I assume this is a famous sportsing person whose body is perfectly suited to the physical demands of his job.
My body is perfectly suited to the physical demands of my job. So we are the same.
To answer @NeilMackay: We reached it because neoliberal politicians dismantled collectivist society in pursuit of untrammeled corporate profits, then corporate media stepped in to bury blame for inevitably catastrophic consequences beneath endless racism & culture war bullshit.
@jemgilbert Yeah. As an undergrad metal fan on what turned out to be a mostly classical music course, I argued loudly (and probably stupidly) in favour of subjectivity cos the only alternative appeared to be that music peaked in the 1700s in Europe.
@jemgilbert I agree, but would add that when studying music everyone I met who argued music was objective insisted it was objective of itself, devoid of context and culture. And that Mozart was just best at music . Which I thought was silly too.
