@AACenter_hub The details are all included in my post:

We were at least in the terminal and able to move aound. The people who spent an extra 40 minutes on the ground after arrival are the ones who deserve an apology and compensation.
@AmericanAir with some deceptive delay messaging (blaming ATC when the delay is more due to their own poor decisions). Our plane is on the ground and could be unloading, at one of many empty gates, but it's instead waiting for a **later scheduled flight** to vacate the gate.
@AACenter_hub I appreciate the apology, but care more about why a totally unrealistic plan was in place that was destined to fail. If AA thinks this was ATC's fault rather than within the airline's control, no one is going to root cause the event and prevent it from happening in the future.

@AmericanAir These poor folks just had to sit on the plane for an extra 40 minutes **after landing** while multiple gates @FlyICT sat empty and unused. American will be using both gates 6 and 7 tomorrow morning so they are able to use more than one gate when they want to do so.
But to make it even worse, the DFW plane got to gate 6 first and they're processing that flight while the plane from Chicago just sits on the tarmac. Meanwhile Gate 7, which AA uses at times, sits empty. That's not ATC's fault, that's on @AmericanAir
Took a quick trip yesterday from @NASA_Johnson to visit with Senator @JerryMoran.
For those who have never been to the Cosmosphere in Kansas, this museum and education center is exceptional. To look at the Apollo 13 command module and Jim Lovellโs suit as the Artemis II crew surpassed the distance record was very impactful. I was standing next to Apollo Flight Director Gerry Griffin, and had it not been for his decision-making, and that of his NASA Mission Control team, the Odyssey command module and Jim Lovellโs suit might not have been in the museum to display.
The Cosmosphere has an incredible collection of space hardware, including the Liberty Bell 7 capsule, a full Apollo-Soyuz Test Project mockup, and a Voskhod 2 with the Volga inflatable airlock used by Alexei Leonov during the first spacewalk. You can see how challenging it was, which is one reason he had to partially deflate his suit to get back inside.
We also visited the manufacturers contributing to Americaโs space program and met the students--the future pilots, astronauts, and engineers who will continue American leadership in space.
Thanks again for the wonderful visit, Senator.
Artemis II has reached its maximum distance from Earth.
On the far side of the Moon, 252,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy have now traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history and now begin their journey home. Before they left, they said they hoped this mission would be forgotten, but it will be remembered as the moment people started to believe that America can once again do the near-impossible and change the world.
Congratulations to this incredible crew and the entire NASA team, our international and commercial partners, but this mission isnโt over until theyโre under safe parachutes, splashing down into the Pacific.
The four players on the ice when the USA scored to win the Gold Medal:
Jack Hughes - Canton, MI
Zach Werenski - Grosse Pointe, MI
Dylan Larkin - Waterford, MI
Connor Hellebuyck - Commerce, MI
Hockey runs through the state of Michigan. And why Detroit will always be Hockeytown.
Took my kids to their first ever Red Wings game tonight making them them the fifth generation of our family to attend (my great-grandparents had tickets at the Olympia) and we got to see the captain Dylan Larkin (#GoBlue#ProBlue) score the tying goal and OT winner! #LGRW
I'm saying this a USAF veteran (not subject to recall to AD). The Hegseth led Pentagon has trampled on the 1st Amendment with restrictions on the press and can't even tolerate free speech reminding service members to refuse illegal orders (ex: "no quarter" war crimes orders).
Almost 1 yr ago I wrote, @JerryMoran & @RogerMarshallMD, asking them to please vote against Pete Hegseth's nomination as SECDEF. He didn't have the requisite experience or temperament then and he continues to prove he is unfit and unworthy. He needs to be removed or forced out.
