What happened is that Frenkie refused to play against Atlético in the Champions League despite being fit. Then, a month later, he played for the Netherlands at the World Cup while carrying an injury. As a result, he returned to Barcelona with a more serious injury that will keep him out for six months.

Because of that, Hansi Flick forced him to travel with the squad to England as a disciplinary measure, even though he’s injured and won’t train with the team.

The funny part is that when Frenkie found out he was being forced to travel, he went to complain to Deco and Laporta, but they simply told him, “That’s Flick’s decision. We have nothing to do with it.”
