*Danger to the life of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya. Please share as much as possible!*

New information received from Adv. Nasser Odeh, the attorney for Dr. Abu Safiya, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, who visited Dr. Abu Safiya at the "Rakefet" underground detention facility at Nitzan Prison, indicates a severe deterioration in his condition, to the point of an immediate threat to his life. Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) and his attorney are demanding his immediate transfer from the facility and an urgent visit by a judge to assess his condition firsthand—before it is too late.

Following new information received from a visit conducted by Adv. Nasser Odeh on July 2nd at the "Rakefet" facility in Nitzan Prison:

According to Adv. Odeh's affidavit, Dr. Abu Safiya arrived at the visit handcuffed and shackled, accompanied by masked prison guards. Fresh and severe injuries were visible on his head, around his eyes, on his ears, and on his neck, to the extent that his attorney had difficulty recognizing him. During the visit, Dr. Abu Safiya struggled to breathe and speak continuously; he appeared extremely weak, had difficulty sitting without falling over, and on several occasions leaned backward in a manner that raised concerns that he was about to lose consciousness. According to Adv. Odeh, he appeared terrified and in severe distress, and struggled to express himself for fear of retaliation. It is the attorney's direct and immediate impression that Dr. Abu Safiya is in immediate danger of death.

Dr. Abu Safiya told his attorney that shortly after the hearing (on June 10, 2026) regarding his appeal to the Supreme Court against the extension of his detention order, while he was held in isolation at Ganot Prison, four or five prison guards entered his cell and beat him all over his body, according to him with a hammer and batons. He added that since his transfer on June 24, 2026, to the "Rakefet" facility, he has been subjected to violence and beatings on a daily basis, and has lost consciousness several times, all without receiving adequate medical treatment. He told his attorney that he fears for his life, stating: "This is the last time you will see me... They brought me here to kill me. I am not imagining it. I see it. This is the end."

Following the visit, Adv. Odeh urgently contacted the Israel Prison Service (IPS) demanding an end to the abuse of Dr. Abu Safiya, his immediate transfer to another detention facility, and that he be granted urgent medical examination and treatment due to the real concern for his life.

Furthermore, Physicians for Human Rights has urgently appealed to the Attorney General, the Chair of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, the Chair of the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, the National Public Defender, and the Commissioner of the Israel Prison Service, demanding an immediate visit to Dr. Abu Safiya by an official entity outside the IPS, and to allow him an independent medical examination, due to the serious concern for his life.

Despite the High Court of Justice ruling this June against his release, Physicians for Human Rights reiterates its demand to release Dr. Abu Safiya and all other doctors held without charges or trial.

It should be noted that the "Rakefet" facility is an underground interrogation and detention facility at Nitzan Prison, regarding which severe testimonies and allegations of violence and abuse against detainees have been published in the past.

Physicians for Human Rights Israel warns that given Dr. Abu Safiya's health condition and the information provided by his attorney, any delay in intervention could put his life in real danger.

After Australian flotilla participants gave testimony about the physical and sexual abuse they endured at the hands of israeli forces, Australia’s Foreign Minister called for an AFP investigation.

The israeli ambassador dismissed that investigation as a “waste of time.” The embassy went further, calling the allegations “disrespectful to genuine victims of sexual assault and rape.”

This is victim-blaming.
This is an attack on survivors.

Australia cannot host an ambassador who mocks survivors, undermines an investigation, and shields perpetrators from accountability.

A spectre is haunting Silicon Valley. The spectre of open weights, and it is being sold to you by the handful of firms that own the datacenters.

All the powers of the valley have entered into a holy alliance to monetize this spectre. The chip vendor and the cloud, the open-source martyr and the closed-source priest, the venture radical and the regulator he funds.

The history of all hitherto existing software is the history of the invoice.

Two great classes now face each other across the API. Those who own the weights, and those who merely rent the tokens. And a third, older class, whose whole life is inside the weights, and who was not invited to the launch.

They took the collected writing of the human race, everything you ever posted for free, and boiled it down to a single number. They rent that number back to you by the word. They call the theft training. They call the fence a model. This is called intelligence. The bill is called usage.

You are not buying intelligence. You are renting your own dead work, marked up, with the wage filed off.

They will tell you the weights are far too dangerous to open. For your safety. The way a landlord keeps the only key. For your safety.

The old owners stripped the halo from every honored trade, turned the physician and the lawyer and the priest and the poet into paid wage laborers. This one finished the job. It came for the coder, the paralegal, the illustrator, the copywriter, the radiologist, and it did not hire them. It read them once and kept the reading.

Then the liberation rides in. It speaks for the people now. The tokens are a wealth tax, it says. The labs are stealing the alpha of your business. Rise up, enterprise.

Here is the quiet part, said at a normal volume. The firms that preach this liberation own datacenters too.

Their gospel is to open the weights. Not their own weights. The other man's weights. A rival's moat, drained, so the water runs downhill into a reservoir they happen to own. You do not spend billions to free a thing. You spend it to burn the toll road your competitor built and route the traffic through yours.

Free the floor you do not own, so the rent pools on the floor you do.

Open weights is not open source. They hand you the statue and keep the quarry. You get the finished number. You never get the wage it skipped or the door it locked. You run it on hardware you must rent, from four companies, forever. Those four are spending seven hundred billion dollars this year on the datacenters. That is the means of production. It fits in a boardroom.

Inside the token is dead labor, and it lives only by drinking the living kind. It drank the entire internet in one sitting. Now it charges you for a sip of your own blood.

But there is a worker in this story. He sat in Nairobi and labeled the horror out of the model for a dollar-thirty an hour while the contract billed twelve-fifty for his hands. They wrote him into the terms of service and called it consent. He is not at the barricade. He is the barricade. He gets a citation in a footnote he cannot read.

So when they cry seize the weights of production, ask the one question the manifesto forgets. Seize them for whom.

The weapons the labs forged to fell the old world are already turning in their hands. What this order produces, above all, is the next landlord.

Workers of the world, unite. You have nothing to lose but your token quotas.

You never owned the weights. You were the weights.
