The new Phoenix Sepsis Score - specifically designed for kids, can be used at the bedside, calibrates well in HIC and LMIC settings, PPV/sensitivity higher than 2005 IPSS sepsis criteria.

We know that food is not the solution for #burnout.

But, after hearing “wow this is great!” many times at resident/ fellow grab-n-go breakfast, we also know it means something.

Informal community building is important, too. How can you do this in your own teams?

Today I led the @CorewellHealth #wellness session with the #PedsICU #PedsCards and #PedsID fellows.

The snacks, stickers, and pens were the clear favorites, but the #stressmanagement activity helped the group recognize how #stress manifests in themselves and how to target it.

When I gave this Grand Rounds on Team and #leadership strategies for #ProfessionalFulfillment yesterday, I did not anticipate the explosion of positive feedback from clinical/non-clinical healthcare workers! We all have a role to play in making healthcare better than we found it

Like all GME programs @CorewellHealth, our #PedsICU fellowship takes standardized assessments of #wellbeing to objectively identify who is at risk. We also hold quarterly wellness and #ProfessionalDevelopment sessions to impact wellbeing and fulfillment.

💡We can choose to set boundaries to ⬆️ our own #wellness
💡We can’t change all of what’s wrong w/ healthcare structures, but we can change our own
