At approximately 6:15 p.m. officers responded to the train tracks behind the 0-100 block of Emily St. A toddler was struck by a train, transported to Baystate where she succumbed to her injuries. The SPD Detective Bureau under the direction of Cpt. Trent Duda is investigating.

Around 11 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Liberty St. for a ShotSpotter activation. An adult male gunshot victim then arrived at Baystate with non-life-threatening injuries. The SPD Detective Bureau under the direction of Captain Trent Duda are investigating.
