The two #pecan #trees are next to each other in the row. One had lost its leaves and had no crop. The tree with no #leaves and #nuts had no damage. Tree structure and timing in season are important factors when an ice storm hits.

#icestorm in #Oklahoma and #Texas has caused damage in #pecan orchards across both states. #leaves and #pecans still on trees gave more surface for ice to freeze. Extra weight in #trees broke limbs off and in some #orchards split trees in half down to the ground. @nobleresinst
