@WindingYarn “I hope to talk to you as well, take care.” [Gio stays sitting in his spot and gives a friendly wave back. He was grateful to at least have one more person to chat with, and really did hope to talk to Alan again in the future. He got pretty lonely at times.]
[Gio opens the door to the basement, peering inside. He seems to of been looking for someone. Instead, he spots Alan, noticing how he looks unwell] “er.. are you okay? Sorry if I disturbed you, I was looking for a friend.”
the hunger is almost enough to make him gag. There’s so much here, but nothing he can have. There is no escape outside, this time.
He is sealed to his fate in the basement again.
@WindingYarn “I take it that you enjoyed the tea?” [Gio still hasn’t finished his own cup. He wasn’t as much of a fan of it] “it could be better quality, but alas.”
“Really not much to do around here except enjoy tea, thank you for joining me.” [he gives Alan a small smile]
@WindingYarn [Gio eyes widen, and he finally looks at Alan this time. He was taken off guard by his compliment, but he seems to of really appreciated it] “oh, wow, uh.. thank you. I really needed to hear that. Yes, I suppose I am. I was the best in the department!”
@WindingYarn “… I try not to get too insecure about it. We’re all human, after all! ..well, not all of us now that the cataclysm has happened.. but you get the point.”
@WindingYarn “It does require you to bury your emotions all of the time. I’ve, admittedly, always struggled with that. There’s been plenty of times where I boiled over and had secret breakdowns.” [he scratches the back of his head, still smiling, but more nervously this time]
@WindingYarn “Hm..” [Gio pauses for a moment, thinking about how to word what he wants to say] “well, I tend to work on a lot of murder cases. I like them because I’m able to bring closure to the victims family.. and the interrogation is always fun! [he smiles, not looking at Alan]
@WindingYarn “Yes, I did. When I was little, my mother would listen to crime shows on the radio. At the time I thought the detectives on those shows were the most amazing thing! It made me want to become one myself. I loathe crime shows now, they’re all inaccurate..”
@WindingYarn [Gio eventually stops laughing and wipes a tear from his eye] “sorry, sorry! Why yes, I was promoted to the detective status a few years ago! Is there anything you wanted to ask me regarding it?”
@WindingYarn [Gio laughs out loud, thinking Alan’s words were ridiculous] “luck you say? Well, my apologies, I certainly wouldn’t want to jinx you, no!” [he keeps laughing, a bit too loudly] “.. be careful, though, just incase that luck ever runs out. You really never know.”
@WindingYarn [gio does the same] “Hm. Like hitch hiking? That’s pretty dangerous, you know! Never know what kinds of people you’ll meet! I’ve heard plenty of cases about hitch hikers disappearing and even getting killed.” [he takes a long sip after he’s done]
@WindingYarn “Wow, that *is* quite the distance! All of those plane tickets must’ve been expensive.. unless you traveled to those places without going by plane, which is a feat on its own!” [the water has finished boiling, Gio pours the water in some mugs and places the tea bags inside /1
@WindingYarn “Hm.. so you’re a traveler?” [Gio was trying to preoccupy himself from the Boredom of waiting for the water to boil] “where have you traveled to? “Just about everywhere” is pretty broad, haha.”
@WindingYarn [… now that he had been asked that question, Alan didn’t sound very Russian either. He sounded like an American to Gio.] “are you from the US?”
@WindingYarn “From Russia? Heavens no! I traveled here from the UK for a case I was interested in. I don’t know Russian, so understanding people has been difficult. At least a lot of people here speak English!”
@WindingYarn [Gios already gotten to work on preparing the tea, but he turns around to look at Alan. He looks surprised] “I never introduced myself? How rude of me? My names Giovanni, Giovanni graves! friends just call me Gio, though!
“And I believe your name is Alan?”
@WindingYarn “Hm.. alright then.” [he walks up the stairs and to the kitchen at a steady pace, not exactly waiting for Alan to catch up. Gio doesn’t really realize that this action might be taken as rude]
