Celebrate #STEMDay this November with #PBCParks! We embrace the awesomeness of science, technology, engineering, and math through our programs at our nature centers & Riverbend Park! These subjects shape our future, and we’re all about making learning fun! https://t.co/uQ9A4meClj
Please join us tomorrow at 10am, at Zoo Miami’s NE parking lot, for what will be an historic event to save and protect our priceless natural treasures!
The Sustainable Futures club @PineJogES learned about the endangered endemic FL Bonneted bat and what we can do to try and help protect them. The students prepared my sign so I can join @RonMagill tomorrow and share our voice and hope to #LetThemThrive‼️

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the John Marshall Everglades Symposium @ManateeLagoon -put on by @evergfoundation & @TeachEverglades So happy to see so many community members show up in support of our imperiled Everglades❣️
The Sustainable Futures club is making sure we don’t forget the importance of recycling @PineJogES💚 Providing reminders to students and staff to help it become a habit in practice #GoGreen@Dream_in_Green:Green Schools Challenge
The Sustainable Futures club members @PineJogES are working hard to get the word out about the importance of the 3 Rs! They were SO excited about the @WPBgreen reusable water pouches and learning it’s not too hard to say NO to single- use plastics! @SDPBCChoiceCTE
The new Sustainable Futures club is focusing on recycling! They are getting the word out on why it’s so important and how we must work together to get it done right @PineJogES.
The Team Everglades Club @PineJogES worked incredibly hard all year and their native plant signs were completed and sealed against the weather (I hope!)- just in time for our last meeting! Thanks to @TeachEverglades for the grant to support this project! #teachinggarden
And @ProjectWILD’s #FlyingWILD “Great Migration Challenge” lesson was a HUGE success at helping the Team Everglades club share these many challenges with our families in a fun way during @PineJogES Spring into Summer event- even if your bird’s journey was unsuccessful!
We had such a successful Spring into Summer event @PineJogES last week that I didn’t get a chance to take any pictures of our @SLLpbc table with Take What You Need post it notes & the new family summer calendar. The remaining notes were quickly scooped up the following day 💖🍀👍
Enjoyed this activity as much as the students and don’t want it to end! They came up with some great examples of things we would learn about them if we walked a mile in their shoes. 💗
Guidance classes have been learning about Empathy and “walking a mile in someone’s shoes”. We also read “Hey, Little Ant” and -happy to say most decided to let their ants live @PineJogES ❣️ @SLLpbc
@PineJogES Team Everglades club had so much fun preparing to make signs for our native Glades Garden! We have been learning about the variety of wildlife that benefit from our native plants. @TeachEverglades
