@BringBack_Chief@CoachZachSmith Are you actually suggesting that someone who sexually assaulted a 10 year old should be allowed to stay? Why would you want a pedophile to be allowed to stay when we have no obligation to allow him to stay? Are you trying to excuse his crime?
@CoachRosholt Was a DC/LB, LBer coach and DB's coach at various points in my career. When I was DC I stood wherever I wanted. When I was LBer coach I stood sideline or behind secondary, when I was DB's always behind the secondary.
@wcdispatch You don't want to talk about the differences between private and public school though. Got it. Public schools would be great if they could pick their students too.
@wcdispatch Every great teacher i know is actively working during the summer. They are lesson planning, researching and getting ready for the following school year.
@wcdispatch How many students with learning disabilities go to these private schools you speak of? How many kids that don't speak English? How many kids from poverty? How many kids from single parent homes? How many kids with mental health issues? What happens to the kids who misbehave?
🚨 HOLY CRAP! Newly-released surveillance video shows a high school principal in Oklahoma TACKLING a school shooter before he could open fire on kids
What a HERO!
Principal Kirk Moore RUSHED the shooter when he aimed at his first would-be victim, wresting the gun away from him.
Give this man an award. Absolute legend.
The attempted shooter at Pauls Valley High School is now being held on a $1 million bond.
@educator4ever36 They can go in any other weight lifting class throughout the day. It's the same reason all the band kids and chorus kids are scheduled at the same time. Or all the AP US History kids.
@logicalandmath@educator4ever36 Some athletes struggle academically. Some would find trouble without athletics. Not all. But we have a duty to reach as many as we can in ways that connect with them. Sports is one of those.
@logicalandmath@educator4ever36 No. Athletics give them a chance. Some use that chance and go on to live successful lives. Some fail. Just like every other walk of life. But if we take Athletics away, the ones that would make it with with sports, will now fail. Why make it so kids fail? That's dumb
@logicalandmath@educator4ever36 I'm saying without sports, there is a section of kids who would quit school and find trouble. Sports is their reason for staying in school, for graduating, for going to college, for being the first in their family with a college degree. Again, I've watched it time and time again
@BurgerHald@educator4ever36 It's 100% true. No kid is ever denied trying out for a sport. And any kid that wants to be a part of the team, every coach I know finds a role for them in some shape or form.
@logicalandmath@educator4ever36 You're right. Let's cut all sports, band, chorus, etc. Drop out rate increases and juvenile crime rate goes up. We will just put resources into those. It will cost far more than anything you think high school athletics has cost. Ever.
