@realcavsfans@ZakHites55 In this scenario are they keeping JA? I think Brown is a better fit overall in that roster construction than Giannis. JH-DM-JB-X-JA with a floor spacing PF/big wing at X seems awesome.
College-educated fathers have cut paid work by ~6 hours/week and increased housework and childcare by 4+ hours. For decades, convergence in time use was driven by women entering paid work. Now, for the first time, men are driving change at home. Great new research from Ari Binder at @aibm_org, covered in @washingtonpost:

1). Just amazing. We’re watching in real time something most only thought as a pipe dream.
2). What if this model of tackling a wicked issue in two unique ways simultaneously could apply to social/socioeconomic issues as well? Transdisciplinary food for thought.
More good news in pancreatic cancer:
Daraxonrasib recently doubled survival in metastatic disease in Phase 3. Now, combined with vopimetostat, it has shown a 92% objective response rate. This is far above the 25–35% seen with either drug alone.

@RichardvReeves I have no doubt it’s happening here in America, but this specific paper is referring the Chilean affects, so I’m wondering to what level - higher or lower for the American context
@MrNikkiG Really depends on the package. Even Fedor mentioned on a recent pod that some teams have the ability to offer packages that will be really tempting (I read that as: can’t or shouldn’t refuse). OKC is definitely one of the teams who can do that.
Like can we imagine this happening? Myles Garrett might be the best player in the NFL. To justify this type of return is absolutely ludicrous. Insulting to diminish this to simple math.
“The Seahawks are finalizing a trade that will send two-time MVP QB Patrick Mahomes to Seattle. In exchange for Mahomes, the Chiefs are receiving QB Sam Darnold, the Seahawks’ 2027 first-round pick (No. 32 overall), a 2028 second-round pick and a 2029 third-round pick.”
“Math!”
Math. Garrett was not “just traded for one” 1st round pick. A premium young player, a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd is not Garrett getting traded for just one 1st round pick. And again, everyone is completely blowing off the 3 years of rookie deal control on Verse. What are we doing here?
@karnsies817@LanceReisland Unlike other sports, I think it’s really hard in the NFL to recover from years and years of losing. To openly bring that on I think hurts in the long run even when you have the QB and the pieces around them, because that culture sticks, the bad habits stick, the disbelief sticks
@karnsies817@LanceReisland You’re making great points Nick. To those points, I think there’s a pathway to being a competitive team and near contender with a fantastic/elite defense and passable offense, and that’s where trading Myles Garrett hurts. It also continues to push a culture of losing.
Cheers, chills, and a standing ovation when RASolute 302 showed unprecedented survival on daraxonrasib for patients with progressive pancreatic cancer
Seldom do you sense you’re witnessing a historic moment in cancer care but this feels like ras targeting has arrived

The thing I maybe enjoy most about Tim’s tweets is that when he’s on a roll, the stories get wilder and obviously more satirical, but so many people still buy them like they’re being reported by Reuters or something. Just absolute gold.
When I was in grad school, I underlined and made notes in nearly every library book (~500) I ever took out. I remember a cohort mate saying it was rude. I saw it as helpful to the next reader. Imagine a student right now encountering my notes. It’s like phoning a friend for help.
@realcavsfans Think it was two seasons ago, Cavs went on a long win streak with DG and Ev hurt, and a big part was Mitchell’s chemistry with Allen. Harden also obv has good chemistry with Allen. I kinda think Mobley only (with 4 shooters) could work in short bursts. Don’t need Don and Ev mins
To be clear, I HATE this decision. Think he truly earned a dismissal after the abysmal showing this playoffs and absolute failure of his players and staff in game 1 of the ECF. But, I can see the logic. One more run with a full offseason, training camp, etc. Not a bad process.
Breaking: Cavs plan to keep Kenny Atkinson, coaching staff, front office together after Eastern Conference finals sweep, @TheAthleticNBA https://t.co/EE418WBoyt
"If you're willing to touch the idea of Jarrett Allen, if you're willing to touch the idea of Evan Mobley, there will be other options, and you explore that pathway. That pathway could lead you to LeBron James," - @WindhorstESPN on the Cavs offseason options.
@ahmad_dahman Folks say “it’s not in Presti’s DNA to make that kind of a move”. Ie trade a superstar simply for team building flexibility/retaining other players. But, that’s exactly what he did with Harden in 2012 in order to keep Ibaka. So I’m not dismissing the possibility at all.
