@DudeItsCorey@SaffronOlive There's many examples in the world where people play competitively but don't expect to "make it". Chess for example. There's no "casual mode" there but people still play, and compete, casually
@PleasantKenobi Back when I played regularly I'd have happily paid money to draft. Not the amount they charged, though, so I just never paid for anything *shrug*
@SaffronOlive@CardConduit TMNT can support a set as well as Avatar can (Avatar can support better if Korra is included).
I think TMNT would struggle for Precons to go alongside... Hear me out though. Street Sharks and Biker Mice from Mars Precons π
If you are the MTGO player CuteChandra and you see this, shoot me a DM. I'd like to possibly interview you (doesn't have to be on camera) about this Weapons Manufacturing deck

The price of collector booster boxes doesn't really matter. Fancy versions being expensive is fine and arguably even good for the game. On the other hand, Final Fantasy play boosters boxes being $220 ($100+ more than Dragonstorm or Aetherdrift) is a huge issue.
Retweets appreciated.

@dynamicsporadic Yeah, and thank you, this is what im hinting at.
You pay to use a license, IP or celebrity as part of a marketing or development budget - knowing it will improve sales and adoption down the line.
Passing that cost off to the user is gross.
If this basically means that MTG artists by in large can't sell their stuff in any way (which it implies) then fuck this game and fuck @wizards_magic. It was one of the last cool quirks about how Magic worked.
Obvs could be misinterpreting but don't think I am
