Ringo Starr gifted this 800 lb., 8 foot high Peace sign to the city of Beverly Hills. At first they declined it, then changed their minds and now it is in the Beverly Garden's Park. Now it's become a tourist attraction since 2017!
@For_Film_Fans Only Waited on him once. He was having dinner with Swifty Lazar. It was in Chasen's and I over heard Mr. Lazar say he wanted to have the famous Oscar after Party there instead of Spagos. But they couldn't come up with a deal. Bad mistake, Chasen's!
@For_Film_Fans I used to Wait on Sheldon Leonard who Produced the show and he confirmed to me that the Pond was up in Coldwater Canyon! (This was before the Internet). Fun fact, Chuck Lorrie admired Mr. Leonard so much he named his Big Bang Theory actors after him !
The Big Bear Bald Eagles Eaglet's are now fully grown at almost 2 months old. They are about to Fledge anytime now, take their first flights. It takes a lot of nerve to jump off the 140 foot tree. https://t.co/1wHITC6eQN
@nypost That was one of the first parties I worked at Chasen's, their Dad gave her a party when Kelly was getting married! 1989! So sorry to hear this. (RIP)
@GrowingUpRetro Funny, I was working a party a Cubby Broccoli's (Bond,Producer) home, and I was working the buffet table. Gallagher came up, and I quipped to him, "I hope you didn't bring a Watermelon with you!". Must have been prepared for a smart ass like me, he pulled a tiny Watermelon out!
Cape Fear (1962)
Watching Cape Fear and remembering the first time seeing it! The local Drive-in back then was Bengies in Middle River I believe.
Bengies was used in the John Waters film called Cecil B. Demented!
I wasn’t expecting much because most Drive-in movies weren’t always the greatest.
But, watching Cape Fear was much more than I ever expected. I think watching it in a Drive-in made it even better.
The cool summer air, the Crickets the night time just added to the film. They made a remake it in the 91 but it didn’t have the same affect that I got from seeing the original at the Drive-in !
