@evsi120@SussexBirding Hi Paul, I was standing next to you on Saturday for the ESW. Might I use some of your photos to illustrate my blog? I will of course credit you with them and will link to your excellent blog. FYI my blog is: https://t.co/zDQCfOGOJY
@AndyWarr3 Hi Andy, I'm interested in the Richardson's CG. How long has it been at Clifton Pits? Also, any info on origin? Eg ringed, looking wing-clipped etc?
This must be a record in lateness even for me but my end of year 2024 birding review is finally up.

Guess my bird of the year!
NB I've moved to BlueSky, but will still post here for a little while.

Hey fellow birders. I'm going to join the X-odus & move to BlueSky. You can find me there under @pmbirding.bsky.social
I look forward to reconnecting on the other side

@RareBirdAlertUK there seems to be an issue with the RBA app as it's not been working all day for myself and a number of other birders I've spoken to. Any info on this?
Four fruitless visits to Port Meadow in the rain over the past 2 days hoping for a wader fall finally resulted in this Spoonbill (patch ✅) - which I was surprised to see was colour-ringed V463 relocating from the Hayle estuary! Presumably on its way back to Denmark @PMBirding
New update on Port Meadow birding blog. Highlights are: Grey-headed (thunbergi) Wagtail, Garganey and Glossy Ibis. Photos in post

@old_caley Maybe, but from your list I only saw the Waterthrush (which was also a great bird). The others I didn't need (apart from MW which was too far for me)
Almost 5 years to the day since I found a male thunbergi Grey-headed wagtail at Port Meadow, today I was rewarded with a female. Showed very distantly - assembled patch birders struggling to get pics but this one by S Sansom gives a good impression of the bird. 4th Oxon record
