#16DaysOfActivism#16DaysAgainstGBV
Gender-based violence (GBV) is a serious issue in South Africa, deeply affecting women’s health. In maternal care, Obstetric Violence is a hidden form of GBV. This #16DaysOfActivism, the PMHP calls for attention to Obstetric Violence as a violation of women’s rights and dignity.
16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global call to end violence against women and children. Alongside partners like Embrace, we address obstetric violence—mistreatment during childbirth, recognised by the UN as a form of GBV.
