David Eby refusing to rule out a snap election this fall should concern every British Columbian.

BC is already facing unprecedented debt, enormous deficits and now a staggering $1.5 BILLION government accounting error.

And the Premier is considering sending British Columbians back to the polls early because the Opposition is in chaos?

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺.

The last provincial election cost taxpayers more than $82 MILLION. British Columbians shouldn't be asked to pay that kind of money again, less than two years later, simply because the political timing might benefit David Eby and the NDP.

At a time when every dollar should be focused on health care, affordability, public safety and getting BC's finances under control, spending tens of millions on an unnecessary early election is the last thing British Columbians need.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth using an image from the Vernon Cadet Training Centre to mock young Canadians was completely inappropriate.

Cadets learn leadership, discipline, service and commitment to their communities. They deserve encouragement and respect — not ridicule.

This continues to be an issue right across BC. There are some solutions and I even gave those to the NDP but they didn't listen. For one, open up more training spaces dedicated to BC residents who will probably stay here rather than sending our people over seas to get schooling and then they never come back! @VoteCentreBC

I am no fan of Kerry-Lynne Findlay, and I have been very clear about my concerns with the direction of the BC Conservatives.

But there is another issue here that should concern everyone.

The Findlay Files appears to have extraordinary access to private conversations, recordings and information from inside the BC Conservative organization. Whoever is behind it clearly seems to have access that most people simply would not have.

If elected MLAs or people close to them are secretly recording colleagues, leaking private conversations and feeding material to anonymous social media accounts to settle internal political battles, that raises some very serious questions about trust and integrity.

You don't have to support Kerry-Lynne Findlay to recognize how disturbing that is.

British Columbians elect MLAs to represent them — not to spend their time secretly recording one another and conducting anonymous political warfare.

At some point, we need to ask: who can actually be trusted to govern?

Me: "I've only met him briefly a couple times. Seemed like a down to earth guy from, I think, Dawson Creek area who knows how to prioritize the basics. Electricity, food and jobs.

Husband: "CentreBC?"

Me: "I dunno. The party doesn't appear to be much more than a logo right now. No elected MLAs in bcleg, no detailed positions. Personally, I worry it might be too far left socially, but Mike did say at some point the bcndp ran away with the sogi program and turned it into more than the anti-bullying program he originally meant it to be. Not sure where his edges are on that. Could have potential."

Husband "CKNW had him on. He sounds decent. If the vote were today, that's the party I'd be voting for".

*note* - I find this interesting because, in general, my husband's political views are way more right spectrum than mine. As example, at one point, he sent away for a MAGA hat and Trump stickers, and the we got into a short arguement when I told him it wasn't an appropriate hat for our 5 yr old to wear to school. He is also a fan boy of alberta separation right now, which I think is rooted in fear caused by a decade of liberals mismanaging Canada.

SO, for my husband to be looking at CentreBC in a favorable light is something.

For me, I like the way that Mike Bernier and CentreBC have detached from the old, stuck in their ways and viewpoints bc liberal and bc conservative bts apparatus, and even the claws of certain influential profit before sovereignty and people orgs/businesses.

Maybe CentreBC/Bernier actually have something, just for the fact a random rock would be more competent than the bcndp and because he and this new party really are thinking about the basics and in the best interest of the peasant class.

That said, in my opinion, Mike and CentreBC need to draw some lines in the sand sooner than later to define what he and his party stand for, before others do it for him. There is no such thing as centre- eventually a foot drops on one side or the other. Maybe we'll see some more defined messaging with the upcoming by-election. Too bad he's not running in it.

The chaos inside the BC Conservative Party continues.

Bruce Banman, who helped build the BC Conservative movement, has now left the caucus, saying he is hearing from British Columbians that Kerry-Lynne Findlay is “unelectable.”

These aren't the words of a political opponent — they're coming from inside the Conservative movement itself.

BC doesn't need more infighting, defections or another new political party. We need to grow the tent, not keep dividing it.

@VoteCentreBC is already building a credible centre and centre-right alternative focused on what British Columbians actually care about.
