He was also working in New York on Sept. 11, 2001 when terrorists struck the World Trade Center.

On every 9/11, we remember the heroism and bravery of Welles Crowther.

A lacrosse player at Boston College, Welles had experience as a volunteer firefighter, and gave his life saving as many as 18 people on that fateful day.
