@hoopoe_swana presenting an update on our @JlaTbpi project with @PNIResearchUnit today. At our lab day with @PhillipsLab@UCL_NerveEng. Over 700 questions posed by participants on the @LindAlliance PSP- “I’ve got some work to do before the next update” HB. Wonderful work!
Our current international student Mr Kunaal Motreja visiting from @DesMoinesUniv 🇺🇸 m. A graduate of our @Health_Eng Summer School class of 2019 presenting today @PhillipsLab. It’s wonderful to attest such talent to be part of the team @PNIResearchUnit.
Here we used Motor Unit Number Estimation (MUNE) to show PI3Ka accelerates nerve regeneration. This is part of a wider effort developing MUNE (and other biomarkers) to facilitate clinical translation of therapies developed in the lab. @PhillipsLab@PNIResearchUnit

Grateful to have been a small part of this team!
Apologies to @hoopoe_swana for failing to capture her talk on camera. The presentation on our @JlaTbpi project and unique & soon to published study on #ReturnToWork & #ImpactOnChangeOfWork following #BrachialPlexusInjury had us so captivated pictures opportunities were missed.

To any one involved with or experiencing traumatic Brachial plexus injury (#TBPI) whether you are a person with the injury, a family member, doctor, surgeon, therapist, psychologist, neurophysiologist, pain specialist… then please fill in this survey.
The study benefits from new collaborations between experts in muscle imaging @UCL_QS_CNMD , clinical nerve injury experts @TJQPNI @hoopoe_swana @PNIResearchUnit and translational scientists @UCL_NerveEng
This study builds on our previous work explained here https://t.co/O88PFyxmQR This final phase of the project will provide data needed to conduct long awaited clinical trials of novel therapies for nerve repair.
Excited to start as an Early Career Research Fellow @OR_UK this year hosted by @PhillipsLab@PNIResearchUnit@School_Pharmacy. The position comes with £110k to develop a new imaging based approach to measure muscle recovery following nerve injury.
Matthew Wilcox also was highly praised for his oral presentation of his work on maximising #qPCR yield in human nerve samples. #ASPN19#AAHS19#nerveregeneration
