At yesterday's statutory meeting, the Corporation thanked Finance Minister Colm Imbert for clarifying the rules governing the use of money in the mayor’s fund (which was used for assisting needy burgesses).

Vendors who ply their trade within POS may have an opportunity to be legitimised as the City Council explores the possibility of a registration process for them.
The revelation came from the Mayor, at Council’s statutory meeting yesterday.

Currently, only those vendors along Charlotte Street are legitimate. As it stands vending is considered to be illegal and in order to be legitimised they needed to be registered with the city.
