Gulu University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Openjuru ,George Ladaah on Tuesday,23rd June 2026 resumed his monitoring visits at all the university establishments outside the main campus in Gulu City.
Prof. Openjuru and his team reached the university farm in Patiko Subcounty in Gulu District where Associate Professor Okello Collins took him around the 38 acre farm. He appreciated the development at the farm that includes a solar powered water pump ,biogas project, coffee plantation and 8 cattle among others.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the community in Patiko for supporting the the university to expand the activities for the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment.
After Patiko, he immediately travelled to Kitgum where he was welcomed by the Kitgum Centre Chief .Dr. Opul Joseph. In kitgum, the Vice-Chancellor was briefed about the goodwill of Kitgum Local Government leadership who have allocated within the town about a 12 acre land for the university.
The Vice-Chancellor toured the land in question. He also visited MSGR Antonio Vignato Mixed SS who are partners of the university . He later ended the day by going on Radio ,Mighty Fire FM to brief the people about progress at Kitgum Centre that currently has 162 students.
