I often think - how did us Ukrainians, ordinary people with ordinary professions, get so brave, so resilient, so strong?

We are the ones who survived.

Once in school my history teacher said it was impossible to read about Ukrainian history without sedatives.

That's true. 20th and 21st century: war, occupation, hunger, war, occupation, repressions, revolutions, war again.

In each family there are people sent off to prison camps, exiled to Siberia, Holodomor victims, dead in WWII...

So each Ukrainian living now is a winner. The one whose family survived and got through the horrible past of occupations, genocides and wars.

We know what it's like to fight for our existence. We know what it like to protect our land.

We fight and we stand now. We know how to survive, and now we will win this battle.

A strong nation will become the nation of winners. Our children will grow up in peace and safety. Horrors of war and genocide must become something from history books.

Russian actor Alexey Yarmushchik published a video criticizing Putin, stating that he no longer wants to remain silent.

According to the 25-year-old Yarmushchik, he does not know a single peer of his who loves and respects Putin — they only fear him.

A Polish man kept losing his underwear. The culprit turned out to be... a beaver 🦫

A resident of Poland couldn't figure out why socks, T-shirts, and underwear kept disappearing from his clothesline.

The mystery was finally solved when he caught the thief in the act. It was a beaver.

The animal calmly grabbed a pair of underpants with its teeth and dragged them into the pond.

The story quickly went viral on social media. Some joked that the beaver was collecting building materials for its lodge, while others said the owner should just accept the loss — apparently, the furry engineer has a major renovation project underway😄

Twelve years ago, Russia shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, killing 298 innocent people.

Today, we remember every victim and stand with their families, and all the nations that lost their loved ones on that tragic day. The downing of MH17 was nothing but a terrorist act. Russia has made such terror against civilians a defining feature of its policy – toward its neighbors, the world more broadly, and even its own people.

It is important to ensure that the world doesn’t turn a blind eye and that for every Russian crime – both against Ukrainians and against other people – there is justice and accountability.

Senator Lindsey Graham, a US patriot and a great friend of Ukraine, has passed away suddenly last night. He visited Ukraine many times, supporting democracy and our fight for freedom.

I don't often share my memories here but today, I'll make an exception.

In July 2022, Senator Lindsey Graham and his friend, Senator Richard Blumenthal, have arrived in Kyiv for the first time since the full-scale invasion started.
They visited Borodianka and Bucha, cities that have suffered through so much during the Russian occupation of Kyiv region. I accompanied this visit as the advisor of Internal Minister Monastyrskyi and saw tears in Lindsey's and Richard's eyes when they looked at photos of the victims of Russia's murderers.

By that time, the United States has already sent the first HIMARS to Ukraine and it became a sensation that has immediately given Ukraine an advantage at the battlefield.
Lindsey asked me what are Ukraine's other urgent needs, and I told him that we need protection from the Russian aviation and their ballistic and cruise missiles.
Senator Graham had amazing intellect and political intuition. He fully understood that weakening Putin as much as possible is in the US interests. Thus, he used all his power to help Ukraine get Patriot air defense systems, F-16s, ATACMS and other US weapons.

Recently, Senator Graham did all he could so that the US would take on Ukrainian experience of using all types of drones on the battlefield. He was going to make his home state of South Carolina a testing hub for the newest drone technologies.

Tragically, his last foreign visit was to Ukraine. It was devoted to drone cooperation between the US and Ukraine. Lindsey's photo with a Ukrainian P1-Sun interceptor drone has been in the media all over the world.

The States has lost a leader and patriot, Ukraine has lost a friend!
The United States and Ukraine will always remember you, Lindsey!
