IBA's School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS) presents the State of Pakistan's Economy Supplement 2026, published in DAWN under the theme "Stagnation to Sustainability: Charting Pathways for a Transforming Economy."
The annual publication brings together research-based perspectives from SESS faculty on key national issues, including economic growth, taxation, fiscal policy, trade, poverty, climate resilience, population, and sustainable development. It also showcases the School's academic and research excellence while featuring the Call for Papers for CBERCON26, to be held on November 16–17, 2026.

Advancing Climate Action Through Local Governance
IBA hosted a session on Climate Finance as part of Climate Week Karachi. The discussion brought together Khurram Shehzad (Advisor to the Finance Minister), Khalid Waleed (SDPI), Kashif Ali (Transparency International Pakistan), Zubair Channa (Secretary Environment, Sindh), Ali Tauqeer Sheikh (Climate Finance Expert), and Naveed Bhutto (Maternal & Child Nutrition Expert, Sindh), emphasizing that local governments are central to effective climate action and resilience building, organized by the Centre for Business and Economic Research (CBER) and Transparency International Pakistan, with support from the Climate Action Center.
