“I believe in God.” —> Even demons believe in God.

“I pray.” —> Idol worshippers pray too.

“I fast.” —> Many pagans fast.

“I give to charity.” —> Unbelievers give to charity as well.

“I try to live a moral life.” —> Many unbelievers live moral lives.

These are basic things. They do not, by themselves, prove that a religion is true.

As Christians, this is not how we determine that Christianity is the way.

We believe Christianity is true because God has left us with abundant evidence and witnesses.

1. The Spirit of God bears witness within us.

The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. There is an inward witness that believers experience through their relationship with God.

2. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Long before Jesus came, prophets spoke about His suffering, death, and victory. Moses foreshadowed Him. Isaiah prophesied about Him. David wrote about Him. John the Baptist identified Him. Jesus Himself predicted His death and resurrection. These prophecies were given across different centuries and were fulfilled in Christ. That is powerful evidence.

3. The gift of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus promised that He would send the Holy Spirit to teach, guide, comfort, and dwell within believers. Christians throughout history have testified to the reality of the Holy Spirit’s work in their lives.

4. The Bible itself.

The Scriptures are our evidence. We believe that the Bible is inspired by God and provides a consistent message about God’s plan of redemption through Christ.

5. Personal experience with God.

Christianity is not merely a set of beliefs, it is a relationship with the living God. Some of us testify that God has spoken to us, guided us, answered prayers, revealed Himself through visions and dreams, and transformed their lives. Some people who have had near-death experiences also testify that they encountered Jesus.

6. The transformation that comes through being born again.

When someone truly encounters Christ, real change often follows. A former womanizer becomes faithful. A former prostitute becomes a witness for Christ. A former addict becomes a preacher of freedom. The transformation is often so evident that even those around them cannot deny that something has changed.

7. The testimony of the apostles.

Why did the apostles continue preaching Christ despite persecution, imprisonment, and death? They witnessed Stephen being stoned. They saw believers suffer. James was executed. Yet they did not abandon their message. They continued proclaiming Christ because they were convinced of what they had seen and experienced. They believed they had witnessed the risen Lord, and they were willing to suffer for that testimony.

I could continue listing more reasons, but these are some of the evidences that strengthen my faith in Christianity.

When I was Muslim, I would argue & say we had the same prophets as Christians.

But this one broke me:

Surah 17:101: Allah gave Moses 9 clear signs.

I knew the list. The staff. The shining hand. The drought. The flood. The locusts. The lice. The frogs. The blood.

I held onto those 9 signs like proof I had the real story.

But bro, you know what shook me?

There’s a night missing.

After all nine signs, right before Israel walks out of Egypt, something happens that the Quran goes completely silent on.

A lamb is slaughtered.

Its blood painted on the doorposts.

And death passes over every house covered by that blood.

The Passover.

I grew up hearing the whole Exodus story. But nobody ever told me about the blood on the door.

Islam just skips it.

And here’s what wrecked me.

The Bible, the book I was taught was corrupted, mentions the Passover over 70 times.

Exodus. Leviticus. Numbers. Deuteronomy. The Psalms. The Prophets. The Gospels. Paul.

70 times.

So I had to ask myself the honest question:

If men corrupted this book, why would they obsess over the same story for 1500 years? Across dozens of authors who never met?

You don’t forge a document 70 times.

That’s just not corruption.

That to me is preservation.

And then I read the line that finished me off.

1 Corinthians 5:7.

“Christ our Passover lamb has been sacrificed.”

That’s when it hit me.

The whole story was never just about Moses.

It was always pointing to a King.

The final lamb. Whose blood, when applied to your life, makes death pass over you.

Forever.

The Quran gave me 9 signs but hid the one night that explains why any of them happened.

Because the moment a Muslim understands the Passover…

he’s one step away from the cross.
