Now, with the dust settled from Selection Sunday, it's time for one of my favorite post-reveal traditions: How They Built the Bracket!
What I'll be doing in this thread is going through the process of how the selection committee built the bracket and its respective matchups, based on the overall seed list, regional and subregional locations, and numerous bracketing principles to abide by.
I always find this reverse-engineering process to be a lot of fun, as well as an informative way to show people how the bracketing process works. So, without further ado, let's get to it!
Here is the selection committee's 1-68 ranking of all the teams in the field, which will be driving how the bracketing shakes out.
