#WATCH | BRICS Summit 2026 | Delhi: On New Delhi Declaration, a Chinese journalist representing CGTN, Li Jingjing, says, "I think the New Delhi Declaration shows the BRICS family's commitment to shoulder our responsibility to make sure we can all move up our family, Global South countries, and make sure our interests are presented at the world stage, make sure we have a greater presence at the global governance and make sure we push for changes in the current global governance. This is the commitment that I saw in the declaration. I'm sure that meet the demands of all our Global South brothers and sisters. This year the BRICS meeting is being held in India. Coolie Camp, a slum settlement in Vasant Vihar was covered with blue and white banners during the ongoing BRICS Summit. Residents said it is not the first time their homes have been covered during an international summit. Last time similar screens had come up during G20 summit. "If the government has problem with poverty, why isn't anything being done to eradicate it?" asked Golu, a sanitation worker and a resident. "Does it mean we are dirt and garbage that needs to be hidden while the city outside is being decked up?" asked Reena, another resident of the settlement.
