MILITARY-CIVIL FUSION | STRENGTHENING NATIONAL RESILIENCE

The #IndianArmy commenced a three-day pilot training programme for #CivilDefence Master Trainers on 22 Oct 2026 under the ‘Train With Your Army Camp’ initiative.

In his inaugural address, Lt Gen Rajesh Sethi, AVSM, SM, VSM, GOC Delhi Area, emphasised building a cadre of skilled Master Trainers to enhance Civil Defence capabilities across States and UTs. Shri Sunil Kumar Jha, DG FSCDHG, highlighted the importance of coordinated preparedness and response.

The programme combines classroom instruction, demonstrations and practical exercises on emerging security threats, drone and counter-drone awareness, air raid precautions, CBRN preparedness, cyber defence and survival skills.

The initiative strengthens #MilitaryCivilFusion by empowering Civil Defence volunteers, enhancing grassroots preparedness and building a coordinated, resilient response to evolving security challenges.

A FULL CIRCLE. A SALUTE TO THE LEGACY.

Today, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, undertakes his last sortie in the Indian Air Force, alongside his first flying instructor, Wg Cdr V S Kochar (Retd), in the same HJT-16 Kiran aircraft in which his flying journey began on 28 January 1984.

At Air Force Academy, Dundigal, the years come full circle in a moment that celebrates a lifetime of service, an enduring passion for flying and the timeless bond between a pilot and his instructor. It is also a heartfelt tribute to the veterans and mentors who have shaped generations of air warriors and continue to inspire those who follow.

From the first lesson to the final sortie in uniform, a legacy takes flight.

AITSC–2026 brought together more than 1500 NCC cadets from all 17 State Directorates at Delhi, challenging them through obstacle course, shooting & other competitions that tested courage, endurance, teamwork & leadership.

Two day AI Workshop exposed cadets to emerging AI applications.

Skill Manthan Workshops by officials from 17 skill sectors- familiarisation of avenues in skill development, entrepreneurship & employment.

DG NCC felicitated outstanding cadets and inspired them to imbibe the core ethos of NCC and carry its values forward.

The camp strengthened camaraderie, national integration & leadership, nurturing disciplined, resilient & future-ready youth.

Educational Concessions - Wards of #IndianArmy Personnel

The Indian Army has signed an MoU with Combined (PG) Institute of Medical Science & UIHMT Group of Colleges, Dehradun to enhance educational opportunities for the wards of Indian Army personnel.

Under the MoU, the institution will provide special tuition fee concessions to eligible wards of serving and retired Indian Army personnel, with enhanced support to the wards of personnel who have made the supreme sacrifice.

The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment to the welfare of its personnel and their next-of-kin.

Upgrading capacity to overhaul 80 T-72 & T-90 tanks annually, this facility bridges the Indian Army's requirement of 230 overhauled tanks per year alongside HVF Avadi, significantly bolstering operational readiness and advancing #AtmanirbharBharat in defence manufacturing.
