I’ve been writing overlong (but in my humble open, insightful) threads on each of the Star Wars films since I rewatched the entire saga (minus Solo & The Clone Wars movie😬 but plus the OG Clone Wars) 2 Xmases ago. I only just got to my thoughts on ROTJ a few months ago & never-
Nobody dies for a lie? Suicide bombers. Kamikaze pilots. Soldiers in pretty much every war in human history. People routinely die for lies. Someone is probably dying for a lie right now.
Ice Cube and Nia Long will reunite in ‘ARE THEY GONE YET?,’ the third instalment in the ‘ARE WE THERE YET?’ film series.
The film will follow Nick as he faces becoming a grandfather.

As prime minister, Keir Starmer:
- Relentlessly attacked trans rights.
- Relentlessly suppressed anti-Zionist speech and protest.
- Relentlessly attacked immigrant rights.
- Continued austerity.
Good riddance.
Though there are some differences in terms of worldbuilding (Wayne Manor, meeting Selina), I do love how much of a natural companion piece The Batman is to Year One.
@DereauWIP Most nuanced take I’ve seen on this aspect of Pac. You either get the worst extremes with OG die hard fans saying he was completely about that life or people from the current gen trying to provocative, saying “He was a poser! He did ballet”.
Pac was not no thug at heart. He was a bright, sensitive & compassionate art school kid w/ a warrior spirit...who went through hell. His environment & experiences hardened & changed him.
He's actually a cautionary tale on how the hood forces smart Black boys to adapt to survive
I think some people are being way too dismissive of these THE BATMAN: PART II scouting images.
No, they’re not official stills. No, they aren’t shot on the final lenses or camera package. And yes, some of these locations may never appear in the movie exactly as photographed.
But from a filmmaking standpoint, scouting images absolutely matter.
This is where directors, cinematographers, and production designers start shaping the emotional and visual DNA of a film. It’s where they chase atmosphere, architecture, symbolism, texture, geography, and spaces that feel aligned with the story they’re trying to tell.
So while these photos aren’t a 1:1 roadmap of the plot, they are a real glimpse into the kind of world Matt Reeves is building for Part II.
And to me, these images suggest something gothic, paranoid, and deeply atmospheric in the best possible way.
In SPECTRE (2015), Christoph Waltz tells Léa Seydoux, “I came to your home once, to see your father.”
Funny enough, Waltz had already visited her family’s farmhouse in INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS (2009). 🎬
