A10. Also, don't take any hiccup in your job so damn seriously.
The best advice I ever received was from a former boss, who said "Megan, we're not brain surgeons. We're marketers. No one is going to die on the table!"

Annnnnd fin! We just wrapped up another successful #PRStudChat with @JasMollica and @MeganMWagner. We want to thank them for being here and we hope YOU walk away with lots of great information to think about!
A10. Don't have anything set in stone as to the path your life and career will take. There will be many twists and turns along the way - that's what makes life so extraordinary! #PRStudChat
A9. This might sound very basic but become a great LISTENER and ask questions. We are in communications and if you only get half the story then... what's the point?
Also, don't be afraid to flex creative muscles and offer new ideas! 💪

Q9: Honesty, Transparency. That's how you can stand out... don't just say anything to get the job. Believe in your ethics and stand by them. #PRStudChat
As you go through your career it will make more sense to use nonacademic/more recent samples to showcase your talents- but for students, especially those going out for their first internship, academic work is a great way to showcase your applicable skills! #prstudchat#ksupr3375
A8. I'd say yes, as long as you're transparent about what it was for and the role you played—and especially if it demonstrates your creativity and strategic thinking. Of course, as you gain experience after graduation, you won't need these as much #PRStudChat
A8. IMO, yes. I created an IMC plan in my @BonasIMC program and used that to the MAX.
However, if you present projects that are group-oriented, you should be transparent and note that in your portfolio, as to not take credit for the full work! #PRStudChat
A6. I had a similar experience, as a practice leader for a large #PR agency, I realized I could start my own #PR firm and it was a great (roller coaster) of an experience I wouldn't trade for anything-that also led me to where I am today. #PRStudChat
