Together with RDW, we have officially completed the final vehicle testing phase for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and have submitted all documentation required for the UN R-171 approval + Article 39 exemptions. The RDW team is now reviewing the documentation and test results package internally. They have communicated the expected approval for Netherlands date of 4/10, shifting from 3/20 previously and we look forward to successful completion of this cooperation. 

Following the Netherlands’ approval, European countries will be able to recognize this approval nationally. We are anticipating a possible EU-wide approval during the summer.

Over the past 18 months, this approval has involved a series of intense documentation, development, testing, research & audits. Including but certainly not limited to:

– 1,600,000+ km of FSD (Supervised) testing on EU roads
– 13,000+ customer sales ride-alongs
– 4,500+ track test scenario executions
– Thousands of pages of written documentation for 400+ compliance requirements
– Dozens of research studies into safety performance/results

We're extremely proud of the work conducted with the RDW team up until this point.

We very much look forward to the approval in April, and sharing FSD (Supervised) with our patient EU customers!

Could you and the SpaceX team please prioritize kit deliveries and activations to Portugal right now to help during recovery?

Portugal was hit hard by Storm Kristin. Currently thousands still without power, mobile networks, or internet. Days after the storm some areas like Leiria and coastal zones have been isolated for 4-5 days, no comms at all. Starlink could be a literal lifeline right now for emergency contact, families separated, and recovery efforts. With forecasts warning of worsening conditions ahead, Huge thanks from those in need! 🇵🇹

@levelsio @csonotes The autopilot software in Europe is ancient. We haven’t got any serious update to it in god knows how long. Tesla is 100% into the FSD stack, which will eventually completely replace AP here too once regulators approve it. Have you watched the demo drives in the rest of Europe?

@BosseStine @TheEinarkist Once again. Tesla literally has a factory in Europe. Model Ys are manufactured in Germany by thousands of European workers. Tens of thousands of jobs were created for Europeans thanks to Tesla. Stop pretending you don’t know this.

@BosseStine Tesla has a factory in Germany. It employs Europeans from all over Europe. Indirectly it also helps many local businesses from where it sources its supplies. It would be rather unwise to boycott them.

A União Europeia é uma das grandes realizações políticas da humanidade.
Precisa de se reformar: reforçar o mercado interno e circulação de capitais, libertar a inovação, acelerar o desenvolvimento. Não temos tempo para burocracias que nos prendem quando o mundo acelera.

A União Europeia precisa também de melhorar a representação política dos seus povos.

Mas não se pode confundir a necessidade de reforma com a sua destruição.

É este o bloco que protege o modo de vida de tradição ocidental: a democracia liberal, a separação de poderes, a liberdade individual, a prosperidade e a qualidade de vida.

Tem o dever de defender e aprofundar a liberdade, e não de ceder às tentações de a limitar.

Para fora, é a união que impede que potências hostis dividam os europeus e os ataquem, por meios militares ou económicos.

A Europa unida, com o seu património heterogéneo histórico e cultural, continua a ser a pior notícia para quem sonha com um continente fraco, vulnerável e sem voz no panorama mundial.

@padeira Concordo quanto ao DSA, a sua verdadeira intenção é no mínimo questionável. Em particular usando termos vagos como “desinformação”, “hate speech”, e “systemic risk”. Pode muito bem ser usado a favor de interesses maiores da UE. Especialmente quando há um overreach mundial.

@padeira Esta lei existe desde o fim da segunda guerra mundial e a Alemanha é bastante rigorosa na sua fiscalização. Não acho que este caso seja o melhor exemplo, embora reforce que eu compreenda e concorde com a mensagem que o teu meme passa.
