@GovBraun joined INDOT & @I69ORX team members this morning to celebrate completion of IN approach work near Evansville. While these bridges will not immediately open to traffic, they will provide all-weather access for the next phase of construction: the bi-state river crossing!

It's a major milestone! Today, @GovBraun announced current approach work in Evansville is complete.

Next up is the I-69 bridge. Construction is anticipated to start in the spring.

Southbound I-69 opened to its final configuration over the weekend, restoring access to I-465 and Binford Boulevard from 82nd Street!

Final bridge beams have been set on the Indiana side. Work continues on deck pours and finishing elements. Remaining work is set to be completed by the end of the year.

Up next is the future I‑69 bridge, with the design‑build contract expected to be awarded later this year.

We’re pouring on the progress along I‑69 in Evansville. Bridge deck pours are expected to continue this spring. The approach bridges will provide all-weather construction access for crews to build the new I-69 bridge.
