Horrible last week of seeing my younger brother admitted with temps of 39-40, rash and vomiting resulting in suspected sepsis. So glad he’s now on the mend and I was able to help! This is why I do what I do 🤍

However, totally surreal experience of being on the other side of nursing. Really got me thinking of how families feel and that sometimes as nurses we can oversee that. Will take this as a learning experience for sure 💛

saddens me to hear student nurses having bad experiences on clinical placement. I cannot understand the mentality behind the dislike of student nurses. Every nurse was once a student, and the only way to cure staffing levels is to train students. We are humans, too. #studentnurse

FINALLY getting somewhere with #NRS601 It’s honestly a curse that I work better under pressure and as closest to the deadline as poss 😭 I wish I could be one of those super organised, life together sort of people... just accepted now it’s third year and I’ll never change 🙄

Being thanked at the end of a long shift makes a huge difference to how I feel when I go home. We all need to remember this and thank each other more.
