@SamuelHBlack @hollow_saba Out of curiosity, how much of the game would you say is MTG vs politics? Maybe there's no clear answer, but for ex, when you win, what % was it because you're a better MTG player vs better at politics? (vs deckbuilding for the format which I'd guess is a mix of both)

The new d2 patch is amazing! Even if you don't want to play Warlock, the QOL for everyone else is already worth getting the patch for (plus all the new items and endgame content ofc)

@Smdster @lunaloveee8 @caro_irl So I think even if the gap in "pure skill" (however you want to measure it) of "best players in the game vs consistent PT competitor" is bigger, I think pure skill maybe plays a smaller role at this level of competition than it would at the RC level. But also just vibes 😅

@Smdster @lunaloveee8 @caro_irl I think once the players are both great, you can make up for the "skill gap" more easily due to other factors. There are many players who are (much) worse than me that I'd expect to be +50% vs me in a 50/50 matchup because they are more experienced with the matchup/decks/format.
