I’m now on the fifth floor of the hospital which is part of the original 1970’s structure- the hospital building programme of that time. The oxygen and suction tubes retain their markings, with the original ward ventilation system and big windows which look out to rest of London
bim2PH is the #BIM Tool developed by the Passive House Institute, which aims to allow data entry in 3D BIM software and transfer information for the energy balance calculation and efficiency design into the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP).

Sand mining is responsible for 85 percent of all mineral extraction. It is also the least regulated and environmentally destructive. Please don't tell me concrete is environmentally friendly or ethical #sandtheft#outofsightoutofmind#ethics#environment#buildingmaterials
This is the photo of the river bank in my village, taken 27 years apart. Miles and miles of fine sand, mined illegally, and sent overseas for making concrete and roads. And what did my people get for it? A broken bamboo bridge that doesn't work during the monsoons. 1/2 #concrete
The #COVID19 pandemic proved that we live in an interconnected world. Future #healthcare architecture and #healthycities will based on the interconnectivity of people and environment @RIBA_architect @ftwork_org @angela_dapper@Soundingitout @JoeGiddings4 @fionnstevenson @shamit

Until individuals or organisations can easily determine the financial benefits of #deepretrofit, the challenge will remain, a fundamental shift in culture to reduce #energy consumption is needed.
Let’s demonstrate the premium value in #assets with #NetZeroCarbon

@DRossiter87 @LDN_BIMman @Exactal It’s only when compatibility matters that you realise how incompatible files are. Poor files => Poor data etc., failure in info flow.
Working for CostX compatibility is an eye opener ;).
Yup, you could not make this up... (and this after scrapping improved legislation in 2015 & complete freeze of progress since then) "Proposed changes to regulations 'will make buildings less energy efficient" by @ollywainwright https://t.co/RFzR6Bo82W
@_marybon@hantsarchitect However, greater financial exposure in design time for all the parties involved, while still no certainty of right to develop.
Time separated process, provides double “testing” of development merits.
@hantsarchitect@_marybon If a decision works in our favour, we’re happy, when it doesn’t the decision is “poor”. Fact remains that we deal with people of differing capabilities at each step. B. Regs should be more empirical than planning.
