@JeevunSandher You are clearly the person who should be calling for equal treatment under the law, make all weapons illegal, regardless of religious belief. Otherwise law abiding citizens will distrust you and your religion. We are a secular society that has been poisoned by the Sikh exemption.
The Sikh community has the opportunity to come together and demand equal law. We don't want a caste system here, where there is a law for some but not for others. Otherwise we will keep on thinking what we have always thought and worse, we have tolerated our governments decisions.
@Aether22222@Hamp_Allen This is the reason why you are incompatible with the "western democracies" You can't even understand what I'm saying, so how can you live amongst us?
@TRobinsonNewEra "Sikhs never lie" I guess this is part of their belief system, which is fair if you want to live in Disneyland, have at it. They are also allowed to legally carry a weapon, that is the problem.
@Aether22222@Hamp_Allen The law states that no one can carry a weapon, except of Sikhs. If Sikhs don't want to follow the law of the land, they should go back to their homeland where they can follow the laws there. Any argument against this, is the reason why you should not be in the country. Simple.
@RamblingSingh Something symbolic cannot do what it's intended use is. Weapons are illegal in most of the commonwealth, except for Sikhs, this is an abomination to the rule of law and should be changed immediately.
@Aether22222@Hamp_Allen I don't argue the details of a religion I don't follow. Weapons are illegal in Canada, if you don't want to follow the law, go back to your homeland where you can practice your religion which allows you to carry a weapon.
@Panthpritham If you don't want to follow the laws of the land, go back to where you came from and follow your religion there. People with a thinking brain don't want weapons on the streets. It's insulting to even consider it.
@Jordan_MG_ All good until you disagree with someone or want to create equality under the law. Knives are weapons. If you don't know what a weapon is for, you should go live in the countryside and retire from social life as much as you can. The rest of us want to live in civil society.
@bahlawat11 All religions eventually fall into circular thinking. That's why our societies are secular and should remain that way, allowing religious people to carry a weapon is foolishness at it's pinnacle.
@koreanscot Glad to see someone with common sense in the community. Sikhs should call the government to overturn the law that allows them to carry a weapon, this is the only thing that will show me that they want to integrate and be part of civil societies in which they immigrated to.
