Playing billiards with the Snapchat AR spectacles on. There's a lens that overlays where I need to hit the ball to make the shot. Is this cheating or nah? 🤓
(Too bad I scratched anyway)
People will be like, “generative AI has no practical use case,” but I did just use it to replace every app icon on my home screen with images of Kermit, soooo
Add Me on #Pixel9 makes sure no one is left out of a photo. Take one with the group, then swap in the photographer. Pixel magically merges both photos.¹
#MadeByGoogle
This is mind blowing.
This AI can make single image sing, talk, and rap from any audio file expressively! 🤯

Reminder: It’s only been 1 YEAR since the Will Smith eating spaghetti video. AI generated photos and videos are HERE (but not without their flaws)

3. Shop what’s (literally) on your mind
Google has connected image generation technology with shopping.
This is HUGE because we’ll have the option to generate photorealistic images inspired by the words you search — and shop products that match those images.
Why not use the real-world as a game level?
This is a real-time augmented reality prototype using a physics based character controller, all running on the web 👀
CSS Tip! ✨
You can make your component styles portable with container queries 😎
Change a card layout based on size 🔥
Remove button text when it's small 🤏
.card {container-type: inline-size;}
@ container (min-width: 50ch) {.info { grid-column: 2; }}

I turned 43 this week.
This year I quit my job, moved to Europe for the summer, and plan to never work for anybody again.
I suck at motivational posts, but I want to share 7 ideas that help me every day:
1. Take risks. Nothing worse than spending your time in the false comfort of safety.
2. Don't worry about making mistakes. Every failure will teach you something.
3. Always take the initiative. It's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
4. Be the person who brings solutions to the table. Everyone knows how to point at problems. Do the opposite instead.
5. You can always be better at what you do. Don't ever think you figured it out. Try to improve every day.
6. Experiment with new things. Best practices were invented by those who didn't follow best practices. Look outside of the box.
7. Take personal responsibility. Never blame others. There's always something you could have done differently.
8. Your company is not your family. Never put them before the people you love.
Hope these help.
