@Errol1001 It is pretty insane that someone would blow their nose in the presence of other people eating just several tables over. What’s the world coming to?
@Errol1001 The biggest reason I haven’t gotten one yet is that I know I’d just be replaying old stuff on it anyways lol. I’ve been planning another 3 houses run soon myself…
@Errol1001 The damage is very high and hard knockdown from any ex move or super means consistent oki from most touches. Really easy to just roll over people, which I think is a huge turn off for a lot of people. (It’s a huge plus for certain old heads though)
@Errol1001 It does not have a “drive rush” mechanic though it does have many neutral skip options. With that said though, I don’t actually think it ends up playing like sf6 from my experience, more like third strike.
@Errol1001 It has a lot of sf6 DNA tbh. Starting the round with full meter (separate from super meter), rev blow mechanic has some similarities to drive impact, primarily strike throw mix up game, parry has similarities to just defend, punishing defensive play by steal opponents meter, etc
@Errol1001 Yeah I don’t think it launched any worse than other games at launch balance wise, but it is having to compete now vs games 2 versions or 3+ patches in. Again that’s not really fair to SNK. I do believe the game will only get better from here, just like what happened with KOFXV.
@Errol1001 I think the balance issue is especially pronounced since it’s comparing poorly with all it competitors, especially SF6. That game has more players, better balance, and easier to get into. Now mind you the comparison isn’t fair because of the patching sf6 has had the benefit of.
@Errol1001 There’s also the fact that the game mechanics aren’t easy to access, which is a huge negative to new players/people learning. I also don’t think the game is doing quite enough to differentiate itself. Another strike throw game in a sea of them.(Plus balance is better elsewhere)
@Errol1001 I think it’s unfortunately an SNK classic. Cool game releases with interesting mechanics, but balance is terrible. The first few majors happen and predictably the top players only play the top 3-5 characters. This makes the game look pretty bad and people just leave.
