When the SCOTUS ruled that CAs prisons constituted cruel & unusual punishment in 2011 they noted that 1 person per week died unnecessarily. In 2020, there have been 90 covid deaths in 9 months. That’s almost 3 ppl per week who have lost their lives bc CDCr is opposing releases.
