Chelsea season ticket holder MHU G12. Home away an all over Europe since 89. Not so much lately, father of 3. Football mad,all views are the voices in my head
Absolutely hated this night. It pissed down from start to finish an should probably have been called off. To add to it, I'm forever reminded of my mood at the time.... I'm one of the kids directly behind the net not celebrating as it goes in. Genuinely.
Today is the 28th anniversary of this @Crap90sFootball masterclass in the Coca-Cola Cup.
The back pass, the muddy pitch, the ball squirming apologetically over the line from Chris Coleman.
This is poetry.
Clearing out some stuff, I stumble across Kerry Dixon's book. A school mate gave it to me 30 years ago
Nothing unusual about it. Except there's a heartfelt message in it, from Kerry, to a bloke called John.
So John, whoever you are,I've had your book since the early 90s. Sorry
@ScottyHayter Remember that time we beat them 4-0 away on the Sunday an 4-0 at home on the Wednesday?
Remember we beat them 3-0 away an Andy Townsend dominated Paul Gascoigne
Remember the makita Cup final 😁
Absolutely spot on. The guy won a league an FA cup. Great days and am very grateful to have been present at both. But, he fell out with the board an doesn't owe us a thing an likewise we owe him nothing. It was a moment in time, he's not wedded to Chelsea.
Let’s have it right, there isn’t a single ex Chelsea manager alive that wouldn’t think twice about going to Tottenham, Liverpool, United, or anywhere if it was for their benefit. They’re employees.
@1JamesCHELSEA@carefreecammy Absolutely James. I was non stop between about 99 and 2010. Then marriage an kids etc. Enjoy it whilst you can! Great days. People like cammy put their wages on it, an if they want to post a picture then so what.
I'll never be convinced that Saunders was innocent. It was cold, calculated and deliberate. And what still staggers me to this day.... Liverpool got a free kick out of it.
On this day: 1992 - Paul Elliott played his last ever game of football (vs Liverpool) after Dean Saunders ended his career with a horror tackle. #CFC#Chelsea
