@midnightnova @PureRubyDragon @PrincelyKaden - potentially 75+ days now for PayPal to review and finalize their decision (in which they COULD side with the merchant). Kaden told the representative this morning he just wants them refunded, but there is absolutely nothing else he can do since they decided to dispute it.

@midnightnova @PureRubyDragon @PrincelyKaden As I mentioned Kaden’s isn’t refusing this persons refund, he offered to refund the commission given the circumstances but the individual went ahead and filed a dispute BEFORE even requesting a refund.

They could’ve had the refund today but instead are going to have to wait-

Paypal disputes also have fees attached to them, so don’t file a chargeback without properly requesting a refund first.

Artists are not your personal banks, you can’t just request a refund and expect to get it within an hour (especially when it’s $500+ lol)

Anywho a friendly reminder that if you want a refund and haven’t spoken to the artist about the refund- immediately going to PayPal and issuing a chargeback will absolutely NOT get you your money faster 😂

Paypal takes around 30 days to review claims, then it goes into processing and can take 75+ days to fully be returned. If the individual you have commissioned has good communication, the #1 option is to always talk and work out a plan directly with them.

Kaden never said he wasn’t going to refund this person- but instead of giving him at least 24 hours they went ahead and disputed it before she even spoke to him (and she confirmed this in their conversation) 😔

@PureRubyDragon @midnightnova @PrincelyKaden Hopping in to say that Paypals dispute window is 180 days, Kaden asks that commissioners give him 30 days to complete to commission (however he usually finishes artwork in a few weeks). Kaden has the “no refund” clause in his TOS to protect him from folks-

Jumping off my hiatus on this account to say AVOID @cowdogcoyote! They commissioned Kaden not even 5 days ago and despite Kaden saying he’ll give a refund, they immediately went right to paypal and filed a chargeback.

It has been less than 5 days- do NOT work with this person
