If any of you want to keep in touch with me when twitter collapses, I'm on Instagram as @paintingtinymen. I rarely use it to post stuff, but I do reply to messages
It was my housemate's birthday last week, and as is fast becoming a tradition, I painted her a birthday mech suit. This one's the Eva-00 from Neon Genesis Evangellion.
Posca pens and acrylic paint on heavyweight paper.

I decided to combine the two inked drawings I posted over the last few days into a single piece. I wanted to go for a 'what if Stranger Things were released as an era-appropriate comic'-vibe. I'm pretty pleased with the result.

An unaccompanied 16-year-old Eritrean boy turned up at our youth club this week, just after opening, with some others.
He was a new face so I asked him how long he'd been in the UK and he said: "today".
I said: "what do you mean 'today'?"
He said: "I arrived, just today".

It was my friend @WOTFANAR's birthday the other day. As there was no way I was going to be able to surprise him with a Gunpla kit he didn't own, I did him an art instead. And now that I've finally given it to him I can share it here

@Danacea Absolutely agreed. At 2.5 hours they weren't far off a six episode mini series anyway, and giving the characters the breathing room would have made them much more compelling.
Coming to the end of a contract, and as it draws to a close I've found myself thinking of @ManMadeMoon's movie, Moon.
Although because I've been working a lot, it's taken me a week to finish, so now I only have one week to go.
@Wargaming_Rev @WarComTeam So many people who have never done wet blending, or painting with glazes, assume its hard, when actually it's an incredibly good way to get good results, and actually pretty easy.
@Wargaming_Rev @WarComTeam That's definitely the best way. I think the down side of it being so easy to talk to other painters is that we internalise a lot of other people's hang ups early on with painting, before we even try for ourselves...
