पूर्वी ज़िला के थाना मयूर विहार पुलिस ने चोरी के मामले में त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए सीसीटीवी फुटेज के विश्लेषण, तकनीकी जांच एवं स्थानीय खुफिया जानकारी के आधार पर आरोपियों की पहचान कर उन्हें गिरफ्तार किया तथा एक नाबालिग को अभिरक्षा में लिया।

आरोपियों के कब्जे से ₹21,000 नकद, सोने/हीरे के टॉप्स, वीवो V27 मोबाइल फोन और महत्वपूर्ण दस्तावेज बरामद किए गए।

The Community Policing Cell, East District conducted an awareness session at Yuva Centre, PS Mayur Vihar on Good Touch–Bad Touch, the POCSO Act, cyber safety, drug abuse prevention, and human trafficking.

Students actively participated in the session and gained valuable knowledge about personal safety, legal protections, online risks, and ways to protect themselves from abuse and exploitation. Important emergency helpline numbers, including Police Helpline 112 and Child Helpline 1098, were also shared with the participants, encouraging them to seek timely assistance whenever required.

The session aimed to empower students with awareness, confidence, and the ability to make informed decisions, helping them stay safe and responsible in their daily lives.

East District Police successfully solved the sensational murder case of a lady Assistant Professor within a short span of time.

A joint team of Special Staff, ASB Cell, Anti-Narcotics Squad and PS New Ashok Nagar, East District apprehended two accused and a CCL from Burdwan, West Bengal.

The case was worked out through meticulous CCTV analysis, technical surveillance and sustained investigation.

Key recoveries include the deceased's mobile phone, weapon of offence, clothes used during the crime and travel documents.

From today onwards, a free English Speaking and Basic Computer Training & Skill Development Program is being started at Mayur Vihar Police Station under the Yuva Project, with the support of Sarthi Charitable Trust.

This initiative is being conducted within the already available infrastructure and facilities of the police station, with the aim of positively engaging juveniles and empowering unemployed youth from the nearby areas through essential communication and computer skills.

The program is completely free of cost for all participants.

As part of Delhi Police’s citizen-centric initiative ‘Operation Vishwas’, East District Police successfully organized a Mobile Phone Handover Programme at Maharaja Agrasen College, New Ashok Nagar.

The programme was organized by Ms. Shristi Pandey, IPS, Addl. DCP-I/East District.

East District’s Major Achievement:

📍 870 lost/stolen mobile phones recovered
📍 724 mobile phones handed over to rightful owners

The event witnessed the presence of senior officers, ACsP, SHOs, district staff, complainants, school students, RWAs, MWAs, Police Mitras, and community members, reflecting strong public-police partnership.

The programme showcased technological excellence, transparent policing, and East District Police’s commitment towards public welfare and service delivery.

Through Operation Vishwas, East District Police continues to restore not only lost property but also citizens’ trust and confidence.

Initiative by Mayur Vihar Police Station to Empower Underprivileged Children

The team of Mayur Vihar Police Station, led by ACP Ms. Amandeep Kaur and SHO Insp. Rajesh Shukla, has taken another noble step to uplift underprivileged children living in the vicinity.

Through the YUVA Project, in collaboration with Mother Mary School, regular tuition classes will be conducted from 3 PM to 5 PM, Monday to Saturday at PS Mayur Vihar, Delhi.

The Principal of Mother Mary School, Mrs. Manisha, has kindly agreed to depute her staff to teach Mathematics, English, and Science to these children.

Children who are academically weak or unable to afford coaching can register for these free classes at the YUVA Project Office, Police Station Mayur Vihar.

Together, we strive to make education accessible for all.
