@NewsHour@IAmSophiaNelson We are a full and complicated nation and our story needs to reflect that; I am sorry to see Sec. Burch go, but we thank him for his efforts.
Cleaned out our closets. Guy at donation center asked if we wanted bags back, we said no thanks, have no need for them. @Target do better: fire highest person who ok’d this, $ to Black causes & public reinstatement of DEI policies. If you’d kept them, this wouldn’t have happened.
An apology from us: We pulled an offensive Halloween costume that should never have been part of our assortment. It is no longer for sale. As a company, we got this wrong, and we are deeply sorry. We know this is especially hurtful for our Black guests, team members and partners. Removing the costume is an important first step, and the company is looking closely at how this happened and what needs to change to ensure this won’t happen again.
@USDOL@POTUS@WhiteHouse@RapidResponse47 Great - we used to teach kids the mnemonic device HOMES (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior) so they’d learn the names of our Great Lakes - now it spells HAMAS… thanks Pres. Trump!🙄
@michaelbeck@jaynordlinger I know; there are so many egregious issues that perhaps this one shouldn’t drive me so crazy but I think it’s the “stolen valor” aspect of it… like how did you earn this?
@greggnunziata@TheJusticeDept I was raised in MI, have lived in CA for years and tho basically a Dem have certainly voted for Repubs over the years; will the 2 party system survive? As we near a tipping point for Trump support (one hopes), who has credibility in the future? How many will be forever tainted?
@greggnunziata I live in Cali where we will vote on 14 propositions; we don’t need to wait in line for folks to make sure they’re bubbling the right bubble! It’s elitist to make it harder for folks to participate in democracy which is what voting is… this is a solution in search of a problem!
@IAmSophiaNelson So glad you came thru ok🙏… I had just retired from 35 years of teaching with an older husband with Parkinson’s. We forget we simply didn’t know what we were dealing with - I was terrified of exposing my husband to a disease that killed so many - the vaccine was a godsend!
@eatinglasvegas Je me souviens! Went there with my HS French class (thanks Mme Colosimo) from Romulus MI (took the train from Windsor, across the river from Detroit) and had such a blast: wonderful restaurants, amazing history, delicious pastries!
@SundaeDivine@CheriJacobus I watched this in real time and I took away a different feeling: they spoke truth to power and were acclaimed for it and it was HE who had to shake their hand… it was awkward but so what, the 1st Am functioned and they’re continuing their hard and important work.
@greggnunziata@chkbal Hi, 3-time non-Trump voter here who believes the Constitution and law come first… would be interested in their view of Jan. 6 which would seem to have been a bit of a deal breaker when it came to that 3rd time vote.
