That happens. Knew a Tomcat O6 that probably would have gotten a star but his wife was a psychopath.
Before anyone starts shouting about that, realize that an Admiral/Spouse couple is a diplomatic team working with the US and foreign governments on matters pertaining to the Navy.
A person unsuited to that environment can cause real political damage to the Navy.
2 yrs ago when I had surgery for cancer, the lady in the next bed was visited by a hospital administrator she had not met before, not her doctor, who stood at the end of her bed and said she had no option but to have MAID. The woman said “Absolutely not! I plan to get up and dance again”. The administrator then started to argue with her saying she had no choice but MAID without explaining why. The woman said “Well I’ll talk to my family when they come on Monday.” The administrator replied “They’re coming on Monday? Good, I’ll talk to them”. She headed off the family on Monday before they saw her and they came to our room primed to convince her she had to have MAID according to the hospital. She then argued with the family that she didn’t want it. During the day she was firm but at night when they weren’t there she cried. Ultimately they convinced her and started preparing a party for her to say goodbye to all her friends. So sad. And it has made me more skeptical about MAID procedures.

🚨ANTIFA TERRORIST SCUM CAUGHT ON CAMERA DUMPING BUCKETS OF TOXIC GEORGIA ALGAE INTO THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL REFLECTING POOL AT 3 AM — CAUSING MILLIONS IN DAMAGE AND NOW FACING TEN YEARS IN PRISON IF THEY DON’T RAT OUT WHO FUNDED THIS DISGUSTING ATTACK!
These radical left pieces of shit just hit a new low.
US Parks Police caught two Antifa operatives on camera driving a pickup truck onto the National Mall in the middle of the night and dumping multiple buckets of an extremely aggressive form of algae into the Reflecting Pool.
The pool is now a disgusting green mess, and the damage is already in the millions.USPP Captain Joseph Barron has them in custody. They’re not cooperating yet, but he’s got them dead to rights on film.
“It’s that or ten years in prison,” Barron said. “They’ve caused millions in damage.”
These domestic terrorists thought they could vandalize one of America’s most sacred sites and get away with it. Wrong.
This is what Antifa really is — not “mostly peaceful protesters,” but actual criminals who hate this country so much they’ll poison the Reflecting Pool in the dark.
Share this everywhere and let every patriot see exactly what these Antifa scum are still doing to our monuments!

Dear Europeans... Buck-ee's is just normal stuff to us. Yeah, sure, it's freakishly big, and has lots of cool stuff.
But "freakishly big and has lots of cool stuff" is also a pretty good way to describe America.
Why?
It's not because we're somehow genetically superior. We come from roughly the same genepool.
And it's not because we somehow looted the third world... you did a lot more empire-building than we ever did.
It's because of the difference between your politics and ours. And between your social mores and ours.
We have what we call a permissive environment.
That means that if someone sees a possibility, wants to solve a problem, comes up with a better way to do something, even something small...
He's encouraged to try.
The government won't make him fill out 67 thousand forms and make him wait five years for permission.
His neighbors won't sneer at him and say he's getting ideas above his station.
Investors will actually want to talk to him, and think seriously about whether they want in on the action.
We know this seems brash and arrogant and reckless to you. We know you think a lot of these ideas are stupid. Some of them are.
But every creative idea, even the best ones, seems really, really dumb when you first come up with it, haven't tried it out, haven't refined it into what it eventually needs to be.
"He shoots spiderwebs out of his hands? What kind of useless power is that?"
"They're wizards who fight with magic swords, but they fly around the galaxy in spaceships?"
"Nobody is going to want to buy books online! How are they supposed to thumb through them?"
"The best minds have been trying heavier-than-air flight for years and failing."
"Reusable rocket boosters are a pipe dream."
Name any good idea anyone has ever had, and I can describe it the way it might have looked to people of its time, which makes it sound dumb, or wicked, or hopeless, or reckless, or arrogant.
If Buck-ee's had occurred to a European, which it easily could have, he would have been laughed off the stage. Or unable to raise money to try it. Or regulated out of existence.
This is why you're poor.
It's not because you suck. You don't suck. But you are micromanaging yourselves and each other out of existence.
Your ancestors weren't like this. And you don't have to be.
BREAKING: The US DOJ just declared Elon Musk's AI data center a national security asset and blocked an environmental lawsuit against it.
The NAACP filed a lawsuit against xAI in April 2026 under the Clean Air Act, alleging the company is operating dozens of gas turbines without the required air permits to power its Colossus 2 data center.
The turbines are located in Southaven, Mississippi, just across the state line from the data center in South Memphis, Tennessee.
Since the lawsuit was filed, the number of turbines has grown from 27 to 57.
xAI says that the turbines are legally exempt from Mississippi air permitting requirements because they are mounted on trailers and classified as temporary mobile equipment.
On Monday, the Department of Justice intervened in the case, filing court papers arguing that shutting down the turbines would “threaten American national, economic, and energy security.”
The DOJ stated that the power supply supports U.S. military AI operations.
Cameron Stanley, the Defense Department’s Chief Digital and AI Officer, submitted a declaration stating that Grok is one of only four AI models currently cleared for mission critical operations across Secret and Top Secret classified government networks, and that it has been used in recent U.S. military operations against Iran.
The DOJ, xAI, and the state of Mississippi are jointly asking the court to dismiss the case.
A ruthless and brilliant strategist, Washington was one of the greatest instinctive military thinkers in world history. He then became a populist hero who modestly established the presidency as a servant of the people he governed. It’s difficult to say which was a greater achievement. His farewell address was a masterpiece of geopolitical management, and his warnings about the entanglement of foreign alliances hold today as the most powerful cautionary advice. Our first and greatest president.
Remember that veteran with a carry permit who helped prevent a mass shooting in Cambridge?
Looks like he was the first person to confront the gunman but quickly expended all of his ammo in the gunfight due to the state's magazine capacity limits.

Grey Lensman.
When we lived in Iran, my dad would work 3 weeks in Abadan then one week in Tehran. (Where we lived.)
One time when he went back he left it behind. I just looked at the cover, picked it up and took it to my room.
I was hooked.
Now I'm a published SF author with 56 books with my name on the cover and I still am trying to get as good as Doc Smith.
British publication one of the reasons I still tend to spell it as Grey.
I was part of a civilian group getting books to troops around 2003. One of the other men in the chat said that troops were asking for us to 'stop sending romance novels.' He was a bit sharp on the subject but right.
One of the Karenish women went off on that. I was very calm on the subject. Said the one time I read a romance novel was on a mountaintop where I'd been for over a month and read every book there at least twice before opening up the romance novel. And I'd never read on since because I'd never been that desperate.
But as soon as women got real power in publishing, they (by and large) stopped publishing for men then asked 'why don't men read?'
🚨 JUST IN: Another win for President Trump's plan to make our nation’s capitol BEAUTIFUL again.
The Lincoln Memorial Undercroft, a hidden 15,000 sq ft space unseen since 1922, opens June 25. Conservative Philanthropist, Ken Griffin, will provide Abraham Lincoln signed copies of the Emancipation Proclamation and 13th Amendment on display for ALL Americans to see.
Democrats ran Washington DC into the ground for decades.
Trump is fixing it! 🇺🇸
Vice President @JDVance explains why he chose to sit down with the sad cat ladies on The View, even though they hate his guts:
“The President’s attitude on this is, and I really do believe this, is 'you go everywhere. You go anywhere to try and take the message'… What I love about this administration is we go everywhere, and The View has a lot of people who watch it. Now, most of them are not sympathetic to the administration. But if every 10 people who watch that show are not fans of ours, but you get the message out to one open-minded person, that was worth it in my view. And that’s how we’re going to win the future, is actually go out and persuade people even in hostile places.”
“I walked into the Capitol on January 6th for exactly THREE MINUTES.
Judge ‘Lady’ Friedrich sent me to prison anyway — on misdemeanors. Unheard of.
To this young man fighting the weaponization: Keep going.
The nation needs you. Without your work, none of that corruption in Minnesota would’ve seen the light of day.
God bless you. Stay strong. 🇺🇸”

Last week, the California Fair Political Practices Commission fined Gavin Newsom $31,500 for failing to timely report more than $5.5 million in behested payments.
“Behested payments” are donations made to charities, nonprofits, or government programs at the request of a public official. While legal in California with no contribution limits, they must be reported to the FPPC. These arrangements create both the appearance and the risk of pay-to-play in that donors who give large sums at an official’s request may later expect favorable treatment such as government contracts or favorable regulations.
Newsom failed to meet this basic transparency requirement. The FPPC emphasized that, given his many years in elected office, he is very familiar with the reporting rules. The commission also noted that his repeated failures demonstrated a pattern of noncompliance.
Newsom has faced criticism for soliciting millions for his wife’s nonprofits, which are now part of the ongoing DOJ investigation. Although these particular behested payments have not been found to violate the law, the FPPC’s repeated findings of noncompliance undercut Newsom’s claim that the federal probe is purely a political witch hunt.
Just received the following email -
“A Mississippi LLC operating as a nonprofit cannot legally accept charitable donations for the Karmelo Anthony legal appeal unless it explicitly registered that specific fundraising purpose with the state and avoids violating strict state and federal rules on private benefit.
Because the case has generated high-profile scrutiny—including an active Mississippi Secretary of State investigation into local organizations diverting generic charity funds to this legal defense—fundraisers face severe legal risks.
The breakdown of the legal mechanics and requirements is detailed below.
The Legality of the Nonprofit StructureLLC vs. Corporation: In Mississippi, true tax-exempt charities are almost always formed as nonprofit corporations, not Limited Liability Companies (LLCs). While an LLC can technically function with a nonprofit purpose, it does not automatically grant tax-exempt status or the legal right to collect donations.
Federal Tax Exemption: To offer donors a tax deduction, the entity must hold IRS 501(c)(3) status. If the LLC lacks this, it is treated as a standard for-profit business, and any "donations" are legally viewed as taxable revenue to the business.
State Charitable Solicitation Laws
Prior Registration Required:
Under Mississippi Code Annotated §§ 79-11-501 through 79-11-511, any organization asking the public for money must first register with the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Charities Division.
Joe, we cannot find Sherrell Hodge registering any papers for Karmelo Anthony legal defense fund.
The " bait-and-switch" Violation: If an LLC registered with the state under a mission to support domestic violence survivors or community outreach, it cannot legally pivot to collecting money for a specific criminal appeal.
Financial Penalties: Under Mississippi law, misrepresenting how donated funds will be used or conducting unauthorized solicitations can result in fines up to $25,000 per violation and criminal fraud charges.
IRS Rules on Private Benefit (Private Inurement)The Rule: A 501(c)(3) nonprofit must serve a broad public interest, not the private financial interests of a specific individual.
The Violation:
Collecting tax-deductible public donations to pay for one specific person's private legal defense (such as Karmelo Anthony's appellate lawyers) typically violates the IRS private benefit rule. It can lead to the immediate revocation of the organization's nonprofit status.
Crowdfunding Crackdowns: Major platforms like GiveSendGo closed previous $600,000+ campaigns following Anthony's June 2026 murder conviction, stating the pre-trial fundraising terms were completed. State Investigation: Because independent organizations (such as entities linked to "Sherell Helps" in Jackson, MS) attempted to route new appeal donations through community-service LLCs, the Mississippi Secretary of State and Attorney General have placed these efforts under intense regulatory scrutiny. Indigency Filed: Separately, Anthony's defense team has already filed a pauper's oath and a request for financial hardship, resulting in a court-appointed public defender to handle the state appeal.

🚨 RAW VIDEO from today’s presser with Mayor Brandon Johnson after weeks of hiding from the press, then he attacks Pres. Trump.
I asked: "Mayor Johnson, you went to Rome with 40+ people. We still don't know who paid for that."
"We don't know what benefits to the City of Chicago have been derived from that. Real Chicagoans are very upset."
I asked whether the hundreds of millions he spent on illegal aliens were more valuable to Chicago than the Bears and the revenue they generate. Word salad is what I got for an answer.
Then, for the second question, I asked whether he and his wife, Stacy, would deploy some of their 150+ CPD command staff officers to help keep Chicagoans safe ahead of Juneteenth.
Then he got defensive and lashed out at Trump.
Mayor Johnson called Pres. Trump "an absolute miserable failure and a disappointment to this country."
So I asked: "Why don't you work with President Trump?"
Johnson's response? "He needs to work with me."
Wow. So Mayor Johnson thinks that he, of all people, is above the President of the United States.
Does Pres. Trump even spend a second thinking about Brandon Johnson? I doubt it.
Who paid for the Rome trip? And what did Johnson bring back besides excuses?

Police are also refusing to release a description of the attackers.
