Haley Stevens on Abdul El-Sayed: “He talks about money out of politics, money in your pockets but we don’t know who’s been putting money into his pocket,”
“Giving children their childhood back?”
So reopening the 2,000 youth clubs closed under neoliberalism? The 1,000 children’s centres?
Recreating the 10,000 + playing fields lost?
Or the 800 playgrounds lost in the last 10 years?
The 1,000 libraries?
The after-school clubs closed?
could you maybe STOP tweeting about Nigel Farage and actually speak up against the oppressive social media ban that the actual government is about to implement? just a thought given you lead the LIBERAL Democrats that you would speak up against illiberal and paternalist policy??
I'm old enough to remember when Nigel Farage would hold a press conference at the drop of a hat.
So why is he now launching his divisive policies in a blog post from the safety of his keyboard?
I can think of 5 million reasons why…
I think three things can both be true:
We should just let trans people use the bathroom of choice.
They cannot change the sex they were born as. They can change their gender and secondary features, and appear as if they have changed their sex.
As a mark of respect, we should refer to them using their preferred pronouns.
That seems the most reasonable approach based on all the evidence and science.
It’s time to end the de facto ban on air conditioning.
Only 3% of British homes have air con compared to 90% of homes in the US, or Japan.
We need to overturn our miserabilist approach to energy which says we alone can’t have air con or AI.
Let’s Make Britain Cool Again 🇬🇧
I hate the nanny state. Nothing makes me angrier than snobby politicians infantilising their citizens.
YOU, Wes, do not know how to parent children better than ACTUAL parents. YOU do not know how other people wish to live their lives.
Go away!
"Poverty is the leading cause of all ill health.. so austerity had a major role to play in spiralling mental illness since 2010"
Natasha Devon on the hypocrisy of the Tory leader blaming social media for a surging mental health crisis.
Nope
I'm part of this "bedroom generation" and this statement really annoyed me
The reason we're unemployed is because we apply for hundreds of jobs and get ignored/rejected by every single one
Jobs are asking for years of experience at entry level and most of us are losing hope
They're so fucking myopic it's ridiculous. What happens to a consumer based economy when people can't afford to consume? When businesses like restaurants can't turn a profit because nobody can afford to eat there? This is how these people are wrecking everything
